Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

My Christmas tree was in that exact location last year! In the corner right next to the sofa and the fireplace!

I love your skinny tree. That's the kind of tree that I need. And the ornaments are just precious!

Before we switched the patio door out (used to open on the right instead of the left) so I put it at the right end of the fireplace so it could be seen when you open the front door.

On the right side of my fireplace is an open doorway leading to the kitchen, so it would totally block that traffic. Of course, the living room is rarely used anyway since our den is where we spend most of our time.

Now that the tree is in there, though, we all want to watch tv in the formal living room!

My kitchen, dining and living are all open so I have a small tv in my kitchen but no tv in the living room. We visit in there only. Or when the kids are over they are in the den with the laptops and tv and we adults are in the living room.

Our living room used to be for visiting only or Christmas morning, until the TV got put in. It's above the mantle. Now it gets used a bit more, but the couches in there are definitely "formal" and not comfortable!

My sofa and chair are comfy. It's what I had in the den in the old house before we moved. It was only 1 year old at the time. But I had to have a red couch for my den to go with my gold wall. So now I've moved it to the other wall and need to repaint it.

I like your tree! Your fireplace looks gorgeous! The angel you made is very pretty, too! Have a great day.

Thank you April. I don't think they were hard to do. My sis and I made them and gave them away as gifts one year. They are about 4" tall.

Too bad Don broke my fireplace and it doesn't work. He has promised to get new ventless logs and put in the winter. They are about $600. and we have only used it once since we've lived there. We have a portable ventless stove in the garage his dad gave us. So if we need gas for any reason we drag it in and hook it to the line.

I love the tree. Christmas is my favorite time of year, well most years.......lol. I miss having the big family get togethers. My mom would always have a big Christmas lunch at our house when I was growing up. I am the youngest of 8 and I have nieces and nephews my age and it was sooooooo much fun when everybody came to our house. Oh those were the days.

I hope you have had a good week. The weekend is almost here and I am going to try and outing again :woohoo:. It has been raining and nasty here for the past week with one day break on Wednesday, but Saturday is suppose to be sunny .

Hello! Ginny
I am such a bad disser lately....I have been so bad about keeping up.....
love the tree, the angel is precious, and I love all the children's ornaments...we have two boxes in the attic with Gwendolyn and Dayne ornaments.... maybe next year I'll pull them down again (maybe next year Gwendolyn will have her own tree)...
the sun is shining here and it may be a beautiful weekend...your fireplace is beautiful mine is still not finished 11 yrs later :confused3 Danny and I never did agree on what we wanted and stopped talking about it.
Have a great day!!!! :wave2:

I'd like to see a picture of the red couch and gold tree! I bet it's really beautiful together!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to the lovely Ginny! I hope that everything is "merry and bright" for you. And if you are there, I know it will be for everyone else. You just tend to make others feel "merry and bright." And that's the truth! :thumbsup2

You are such a sweetheart. I hope your Christmas is nothing but love. My prayer of thanks to HIM for you and your family and that we have become to know one another.

Blessings to you for the New Year

Love to you
Ginny

Hello! Ginny
I hope your Christmas was as merry as all your wishes for it! Can't wait to hear about all your fun and family!
Have a great day!
Connie

BTW: haven't been on much and it will be off and on until I go to best buy to get a new cord (using Gwendolyn's at the moment) our power connection finally went out--since the drop! so I try to pop in when I can!!

Morning Ginny....yes, it's barely still morning but morning nevertheless,

I hope that your day is going well. I know that the doctor is not in so maybe things will go smoothly.

I hate coming back to work after a long holiday. At least we have another one this week.

I either need a new cord, battery or both for my laptop. It has now been over 2 weeks and I can't stand it. I have pics to download and Don won't let me put anything on his. The old meanie.

We had a wonderful Christmas until Sat when I went to my Mom's. Being there was ok, it was the Christmas night when I hung up on her. I know it was not nice. Sheri already told me I was wrong but she agreed as to why I did it.

It is nice and quiet here today and I'm loving it. Giving me a chance to dis. But I am hungry and as soon as I get off this long phone call I'm on I'll go get lunch. We get off at noon on Thursday so it won't be a bad week at all. Getting some filing done.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Ginny! I hope you had a great Christmas. I hope you get your laptop fixed soon. Have a great day!

Good morning, Ginny. Hope you enjoyed your Clam Chowder soup at Red Lobster and had a good evening. I had a wonderful surprise when I got home last night and got the mail and went into the house to open it: two birthday cards -- one from you and one from Lisa. Thank you, dear friend.
