Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

Got em. I can see where Mitchell gets his good looks. Really nice pics. I thought Mitchell looked a lot like you till I saw your DH. Yes, the love for his family shows in his eyes too.

Awww! That's really sweet of you! A lot of people think Mitchell looks like me until they meet DH! Isn't that funny?

We were not to say disappointed;although every time someone would ask me why "I" did that--it made me sooooo depressed./I would cry for days... if the shock would not have been so bad I would have told people we planned it....we will just be hot ridin' around in the mustang for a very long time...we keep cars unitl we just can't do it anylonger:laughing: as for all our dream trips; their coming...the older two are on the way to being on their own w/in the next three to five years and we only have 12 yrs left to pay on the house...

things change, we adjust, and I really believe Ashton was sent to give me another Angel to love...;)

Mel, you will get your little angel--it's coming soon; I know it....

Yes, what Ashton is is a blessing. I can tell by your photos and your words how much he is loved and cherished!!!! I think you are a wonderful mother!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. It truly gives me hope that my dreams will come true!!! :flower3:

Connie, you know to treasure that gift you were given. You guys aren't old yet. You'll have lots of time to fulfil other dreams or allow a diferent dream to guide you.

We never did think we were old...we always thought our older two children were too old...:rotfl:

We keep our cars the same way and with retirement getting closer I'm torn whether to get now or wait till right before. I think Don may have to do something next year on his. Darn our luck. My mother in law just bought a 2009 Impala. Maybe I can convince her to give it to me since it will be so long before she can drive.:lmao:
Well, Mom & Dad did that the year before they retired they went out and bought them a new car (cash mind you--I will never be able to do that--esp now that our retirement has been wiped out
Don and I love to travel and that was our big dream. Go somewhere in the winter months but have our home to come back to. I'm still hoping that maybe we can afford to go for a couple of weeks in the winter. Of course I want the beach and he wants the desert. Who will win this one?

Danny is the beach and I always want the mountains:rotfl2:

We next arrive at Morocco and we all seemed to have a mini melt-down. Will the World survive?

Work it baby, WORK IT :rotfl:

Welcome back from the beach Sheilagh. I bet you had a great time. How can one have a bad time at the beach?

I love the pictures of all of us. We have to get them while we can. As those grandkids get older it will get harder for us all to be together for sure. I don't look forward to those days.

We leave it to Austin to be the silly one. He can sure come out with some strange notions. We are still not sure where he gets it. :rolleyes1

So now you can get back on your report. Hope your weather was great. I'm a tad jealous. Don says NO more vacays for me this year. I'm trying to figure out I can squeeze a winter one in. :lmao:

I always find it to be nice and relaxing to spend a week down at the beach. I was on the beach by 9am every morning and stayed until the storms would roll in later in the day. This was the hottest it has been down there since we've going. It was cooler inland then it was at the beach! I'll post some pics on my TR, that is as soon as I catch up on everyone's reports.

I would love to see some. I went to Cape May, NJ when I was a child one summer. Since adulthood we always go around Pensacola cause we can drive it in one day. We too hit the beach around 9-10 and stay till late pm. Don is always so good to take me and he doesn't even like the water. What a guy. We generally go the first week in August cause that is the only summer week the grandkids don't have some sort of sport practice. Sandi and her family went 7-18. She said they were at the beach every morning and would stroll back in around 6 so they could have dinner. They did not invite me. I still love her.

When we used to live in NJ I would be able to go to the shore whenever I wanted, it was only a 30 minute ride. It now takes us about 3 1/2 hours to get to Rehobooth. Our beach vacation is usually our mini vacation during the summer. We usually go around the last week of July/first week of August. I guess I got my love of the shore from my mother. My grandparents had a place down at the shore in NJ while my mother was growing up so she would spend the whole summer down there. When I was in college at Rutgers, my grandparents would pick me up and bring me down with them. I just loved being able to sit on the beach all day reading and just relaxing.

Mine ideal day also. Living in the midwest is nowhere near any beach. We have lakes but it is not the same. My grandparents love the beach also. I had an uncle in Philly so we would visit them and head to Cape May. They had a place about 4 blocks from the beach. heaven.

Good morning! Ginny
Have a great day!!

The same to you Connie. I guess Mel is heading out to Six Flags. Hope her weather is good.

How dare Lisa keep us hanging like she did last night. We will stay on her case today to get her to finish.:lmao:

Give that sweet Ashton a kiss from me.

Ginny

Hello, Ginny!
I LOVE your TR, it is very very very good!
Your family seems so sweet :]

Thank you Sara. I take that as a compliment as your writing style is so good and mine is well...................just me. That is exactly like I talk too. My family is great. Sweet is a new word but it fits them. :rotfl:

Ginny

just checking back in...I actually let Ashton spend the night with my parents last night...he is still not home as of yet(will give him a hug :hug:and kiss as soon as I see him--one from you and two or three from me)... Chloe and I are watching Blue's clues ABC's and coloring...

I hope Mel and crew are having a good day today, I did not check to see what their weather would be like today...

the new prices for next year have been released so I can finally start putting together a game plan for "ALL" the dates I'm interested in and see when Danny wants to go back to WDW:smickey:--but as I said before; I can't book until I book his week at the beach for next summer:beach:
:hyper2:
later:wave:

Ginny, I absolutely love the group shot. You look so happy. The other pictures are pretty but the group shot is my favorite.

Ginny, I have to agree with Lisa. You look soooooo happy. I feel like you do, my family comes first in my life too. Life is too short to put anything else first. Austin reminds me of my Tyler, they dress alike and act alike, but that is where it ends. Tyler has never been really serious about school, that is were Amanda excels.

I saw the new prices were released. You can book a week at the beach for me too please. Or I'll just come and stay with you. I don't cook, clean or do laundry. I'm on vacay.

when at the beach we rent a condo; usually do breakfast (doughnuts, biscuits,etc... and lunch in the condo--dinner "cheap" but out...you are more than welcome to crash with us when we go:thumbsup2...hoping I can muster some money (but I don't think it will happen) to surprise Danny with a short weekend the end of Aug or Labor day weekend--trying:upsidedow

money is soooooo tight this month that I told Danny he had to get an advance on his per diem--he called to say he asked for half so when he comes home today I'm suppose to have a list of the bills and the dates they are due:scared1:....hopefully we come out even and my babysitting money can go to a short vacay (that is what the money was meant for-extras and fun--although I usually spend most on the kids themselves:rotfl:)

I think that is the difference in the oldest child vs a middle child. Austin wants to do well and has been lucky enough that it is pretty natural to him. Andrea, also 17 and will be a senior (step sis to Austin) just doesn't care anything about school. And Andrew the youngest (Andrea's brother, Austin's step) loves school. Austin and Andrew live with Sheri and Mike and Andrea is living with her mom. Unfortunately she just doesn't like rules. She hasn't learned yet that she will have them her whole life so you have to deal with them. Sheri and Mike are pretty strict and encourage the grades for driving and sports which the boys love.

I bet you can tell that my family is my life. I am a sucker. That is why I continue to work so we can go do fun things together.:yay:

That is how we pretty much do it too. I always used to cook big meals but it makes too much work. It is the easy way out for sure. That is one of the reasons I keep working so we can afford to take the kids on trips and get them their wants. I have it figured out that I have x amount in my IRA's so for a few years after we retire we can still go places. Maybe by then the grandkids will have good jobs and they can take us. :lmao: Wishful thinking anyway.
