I've picked up cheap ponchos for the adults, but does anyone have recommendations where I could find youth ponchos - something that would fit 2T or 5T? Thanks!

Do you have a Meijer store near you? I got my son a Buzz Lightyear slicker there last year for about $7.00. Size 3T.

Forgot to add that it's not a thick slicker, but not as thin as ponchos. Still can be folded up small enough to slip into a quart size Ziploc bag.

We do have Meijer, but was hoping to spend a bit less than $7 - thinking of something ultra packable and somewhat disposable if necessary ;)

So no one else has had any luck finding something like this :confused3

That quart size ziplock bag is a good idea. Both kids have windbreakers that would probably roll that small if necessary and at least that would keep them compact until needed. Thanks!

I spent months looking for something for my daughters before we spent a week in the rainy mountains. I ended up buying Hello Kitty Rain jackets from Target. They were around $7 as well. They are lightweight, but so far have held together very well.

If you are wanting something cheap and disposable, then I would just find the smallest adult ponchos that you can find and cut them down to size.

I found some youth ones at WalMart today in the sporting goods section. I'm not sure they'll be small enough for our kiddos, but I suppose I'll be bringing the scissors to make them shorter!

Land's Ends has packable rain jackets for toddlers. They roll up smaller than a poncho.,

My kids were never comfortable in a poncho so I agree with PP's get an inexpensive rain coat. It can be folded almost as small as a poncho and it keeps kids dryer.

If you haven't already got one I also recommend a stroller rain cover.

If it is for a Disney trip, I would recommend just waiting and buying the kid's size poncho at Disney if it rains (they will magically appear at every store counter if it looks like rain or starts raining). It will definitely fit 3T-5T because I know DD wore it then. I'm not sure if it might be too long for 2T, but I guess you could always buy scissors at the store and cut off the bottom. We tried Ponchos from target and also the dollar ones, we wound up throwing them away in the park and buying the Disney ones. Rain just kept going in around DD's neck on the non-disney ones.
