Rain next week!?!?!

We will be arriving on Sunday (FINALLY) for our week long trip. I've just checked out the weather and the forecast says thunderstorms everyday. I've never been to FL in August, so I'm wondering...does this mean rain all day every day? Or quick storms in the afternoon??

in August thunderstorms are the norm. normally it is an afternoon hour or so storm but they can any time of the day

Thank you! It's just a little unnerving to see a full week's forecast of thunderstorms!!

We typically go in August (not this year... ), and one day each week is a wash out - we use that day to rest, hang out at the resort, etc. But then each day there is typically a 20 minute or so thunderstorm.

We love the August weather in FL...hot, sticky, storms...it's perfect!

No one really knows what the weather is going to do, but I think the weather may be better than what you are expecting. We just returned from a short 4-day trip and my weather app had an 80% chance of thunderstorms everyday of our trip. We packed our ponchos and umbrellas and were going to make the best of it. In the end it only rained once those 4 days and the rain only lasted 5 minutes. Pack rain gear and don't let rain ruin your trip.
