I bought ponchos for my husband and I but what do I bring for my 3 year old? I didn't see child size ponchos at the dollar store?

Buy an adult one, open it up and cut it down to size with some scissors. Neatly duct tape sides if necessary (have some fun and get colorful tape). Re-fold and put in a ziploc bag. That's what we did. ;)

They're very cheap, lightweight plastic and aren't designed to last for more than one use or two so it's not like you're trimming a real raincoat with seams and sleeves.

I used a lightweight raincoat for my 3 year old when we were at WDW. It was the same size as a poncho but without the mess. Since she was in the stroller the stroller hood covered her and sometimes, depending on the rain we would cover her legs with a poncho like a blanket and put her raincoat on. It worked for us, especially going in and out of the shops to avoid the rain and get dry.

Don't forget extra disposable ponchos for your stoller!!! We have a Mac and the rain cover doesn't really work for Orlando rainstorms! We bring an extra adult sized poncho and throw it over. We put our bags on the seat and cover the whole thing. Everything stays dry!

at family dollar today they had cute disney ponchos for the kids - they were $5.00 but they came ina cute small drawstring bag - and they were heavier plastic not like the throw away ponchos
i picked some up for my boys -
cars, power rangers, hannah montana, high school musical (for girls had pink on it)
hope this helps

My kids were not comfortable in a poncho until they were 6/7ish. I just used a regular childs slicker/raincoat. Its small enough to fold into a ziplock and covers the arms and head nicely.

IMHO a stroller raincover is a must, I prefered the ones that are made for the stroller rather than a poncho because they fit better, had ventilation and the kids could see out.

We found child-sized (thick plastic) Disney ponchos in the dollar section at Target before our trip, but they never ended up having to wear it.
We did, however, break out the adult ponchos from Dollar Tree to cover our strollers during dinner one night, and they did not cover our tiny umbrella strollers! They were way too small even without the kids in them! Luckily, we had some bigger ones from a camping store!

Not sure if they still have them, but Publix has a Disney dept in the front of the store and had Disney ponchos. I got DD a yellow one with tink on it, and she wore it this year just after she turned 3. It was a little big, but it worked great and she loved it.

I got mine at the location right near Orlando Premium Outlets.

I also got the pink princess one from Family Dollar...still need to get the adult sized ones for us and the stroller at the Dollar Store.

We got kid sized ponchos at Walmart - in the dept where they sell purses, bacpacks and similar (not the camping dept). We wore ours most days, some for several hours, and the ponchos held up great :) Our son was a short 5 year old :)
