Has anyone had any experience with rain during the Christmas party? I'm planning on going on Nov 13 and the weather report says there is a 40% chance of rain (pm showers). Could this ruin the experience or make it less magical? Do they still do the snow and have all of the dancers out for the parade? I'm wondering if I should change it to a different day but that will totally ruin my plans.

It depends on how bad the rain is as to what happens with the parade and fireworks. We have been in the rian, and if I had the option to switch, I would have definitely done it.

It's rained both times we've gone to the Christmas party. Rain started during the parade and turned into a downpour last year before the fireworks but then stopped. Drizzled the entire time in 2010.

Everything seemed to be fine though. Might have not had snow the night it drizzled though

Once it rained during a MVMCP I went to. It drizzled all night with a down pour early in the evening. Characters went inside, no snow on main street, parade was shortened.

Once the down pour stopped, characters would be in and out depending on how hard it rained.

That party I ended up doing more rides than anything - the fireworks did go off as scheduled and I saw a shortened version of the parade (I remember the miniature horses pulling Cinderella's carriage weren't there and one big float with all the princesses normally on it wasn't in the parade that night.)

We are going to be there next week too, but not at the party. I've been watching the weather for 2 weeks now because I have a friend that has been there this past week. I saw a few days where showers were expected in the projected forecast that were gone the next day and ended up never raining. Don't give up hope.

Those showers just showed up on the forecast this morning. I'm praying they go away :-)!!!

That being said, we did not get rained on during the MVMCP when we went in 2011, but I would have been really sad it if had. Our last trip at the end of April 2014, it POURED a lot on 3 of the 4 days we were there. One of the store clerks told me the summer rains came early. We put on our ponchos and forged ahead, but that was not fun!

It's been years and years since I went to the party. It rained the entire time. Both the parade and fireworks were cancelled.

it's looking a little better thankfully according to the weather report. hoping it doesn't rain. it says 20% chance.

It will change every day until the day of, then it might do the opposite of what is projected. Florida weather is crazy.

It rained last year for one of the parties I went to. It rained hard enough to delay the first parade. Eventually, it turned into a steady drizzle, so everything worked out.

It really all depends on the actual conditions. As far as the dancers go safety is a concern if the pavement is wet which could cause slips and falls.

That means there is a 60% change it wont rain

It's Florida. It can be pouring on one side of the street and sunny on the other.
