Rain and Rain gear for kids

what are some cheap easy things to wear/get to keep the kids dry while at WDW? Both kids will be in strollers and want to have protection for them incase of rain.

We had a very rainy day once when we had 2 kids in strollers. We bought them baseball hats and kid-sized ponchos. It worked out great and we had an amazing (& very uncrowded) day in AK!

We bought a stroller cover for $10 at Babies R Us. It went over DD & the stroller. It rained pretty hard one day at Epcot, and it kept them both nice & dry.

I think stroller covers are essential WDW gear...not only do they provide great coverage while your kids are in the stroller, they keep the stroller dry if it is raining/pending rain while you are in an attraction.

Definately invest in stroller covers - not clear shower curtains and clothespins. I went to the consignment store and found DD a rain jacket. It folded up inside itself, had a hood - it was for boys but hey, girls get wet too! I also made sure I carried flipflops for each of us in my backpack. We were then when Hurricane Ike passed pretty close by and we had a day of LOTS of rain but we were all very comfortable. Especially DD in her jacket and under the stroller cover.

This prob won't be much help much since I don't know anything about the parks, but they do sell Disney poncho's for 4 year olds. I bought my daughter a 4T Princess Aurora Poncho at a consignment store. I'm not sure where it's from but it has a Disney Tag on it.

we had a stroller cover and a "rain bag" we popped under the stroller for the 2 days they called for rain. It had a raincoat/boots for DD and rainjackets for each of us, plus I had the cheap ponchos tucked in my backpack.

Before we left I used spray "Camp Dry" on all of our jackets and shoes to give some extra protection. We ended up not needing to use them but it was nice knowing we were prepared.

We were there too!

And ditto the stoller rain cover. If you have one that it made for your stroller bring it, if not the Babies R Us generic rain covers work fine too. We also brought hooded rain jackets for the whole family and dollar store ponchos as back ups.
For warm weather we wear Tevas or Keens, for cold weather make sure you bring extra pants (it's the bottom of your pants that will get wet) and extra SOCKS!

We have always used stroller covers and they stay totally dry! For us and the older kids, I always pack a bunch of dollar store ponchos that we can just toss at the end of the day if needed.
