Rain and MSEP

I just saw there is rain in the forecast for Friday 4/22, how will this affect the first night of MSEP?

Rain in the forecast is not unusual. How it will affect that night will depend on the severity of the rain at the time.

The parade will still run in light, sporadic rain. It will not run if the rain is enough to make the pavement wet/slick.

We'll be there (re)opening night (4/22/22) and there's definitely rain in the forecast, but it looks like it'll be concentrated in the morning and tapering by afternoon. Keeping fingers crossed!

Does anyone know how long the MSEP will be running? I'll be there the first week of August.

We'll be there for the return, too. It rained back in 2017 for the annual passholder event (remember those?) when it returned to Main Street. The lights glowing against the wet, shiny street were so pretty.

In case anyone hasn't checked, rain has been pretty much wiped out from the forecast for the (re)opening weekend of MSEP. 4/22/22 has a high of 68 degrees during the day with cloudy skies (aka perfect theme park weather). Sadly, no cool reflections on the ground. See y'all there!

We have been watching the weather reports like a hawk and hoping it stays this way. But I am also coming down after 5 days in Seattle, so I have plenty of rain gear on me just in case.
