When it rains but it's still 80 degrees, do people walk around with umbrellas?

I'm thinking my poncho will be like a mini sauna, no?

If you're talking about umbrellas in the parks, my OPINION would be 'don't do it'. There are just too many people and you're bound to give someone a nasty poke, which will lead to a nasty encounter. Plus, if you ride any attractions that require you to use a locker your umbrella won't fit.

You'll get a bit 'steamy' in your poncho, but most of them aren't very heavy weight and they're pretty roomy so you do get a little air flow through there. Most people tend to just run through the raindrops or stay undercover during the worst of the rain showers. When it's that hot, the rain isn't all that uncomfortable.

Oops....just noticed you're leaving soon. Get a poncho. It's not going to be too hot for it this week.

Only when it is a hot day. If it rains on a modest temoerature day, nope.

We tried the ponchos, but you're right, they do make it like a sauna. We chose to be a little wet as opposed to being a lot hot!

We've noticed that in Florida, at least during our stays, that the afternoon 3 o'clock rain only lasts about a half an hour or more. We just tend to plan accordingly, either waiting it out at our resort till we go back, or ducking into an attraction or grabbing a meal, and then the rain is over and the humidity comes out with a vengence. If the forecast calls for an all dayer, we take our ponchos or blow off the day and head to DTD for a movie, FW for pizza and beer, CR for the gameroom or stay at our resort and swim, if there's no lightning. Many otions on the poncho thing and ours are very big and roomy but a b....... to fold after wet and a pain to carry then, about a last resort thing.

Umbrellas are not practical in crowds, and when it's hot ponchos are no fun. When it rains, we either get a little wet or head to an indoor attraction that'll last a while.
