I'd love to go into some depth about this, one of our new favorites, but short version: we loved it. It was a frankly astonishing combination of atmosphere, quality, price, and service. Our family of four is equally divided between picky and not-so, and we ate our fill and were satisified.
Candidly, it was my DS's dessert of "bread and butter pudding" that elevated this whole experience into the stratosphere. It came in an individual crock of its own, with two little tureens, one of butter cream, one of a caramel concotion ... the waitress instructed him to dig a hole in the pudding itself, and pour a little of each tureen in the hole and to stir a bit.
Well. Glory. Taste bud nirvana.
And the entrees were darn good, too.
I'll post some more later, about this and some of our other experiences Dec. 26 - Jan. 2. It was a great week for groceries.
