I have heard bits and pieces on the dining at Raglan Road. I was wondering what type of food does it serve, price range and the location in DD. I have looked at allearsnet for a menu and it is not there :confused3 (guess it is too new).

I can't give you info on price range as we haven't been there yet, but will be next week.

But I can tell you that it is located at Pleasure Island at DTD and is Irish food. I'm sure you'll receive some replies from those who have already been there. From what I've read of most experiences, I'm looking forward to going.

It's there:

It is a fine place to take kids. We have been there three times now, there have always been families there, all ages of kids. The food and service are oustanding.

Irish food, most with a modern twist.

The music doesn't start until 9pm, and I am guessing with kids you will be out of there long before then. Then open at 3pm, serving a full menu.

Since it is in Pleasure Island do you have to have a ticket for admission to that area?

I looked at the menu and it looks like stuff we would eat, but does the food have odd flavorings or anything that a picky eater may find not good?

I know it is so new that there aren't many with good/bad reviews yet so I am scared to try it out!

Thank You!!!! :flower2:

No Pleasure Island admission required.

Disney Dining will take ADR's, but not on the day of. You will need to call the restaurant directly.

Frankly, this was the best food on our December trip (went twice) and we will definitely be back.

It is excellent homestyle food with some modern updates. I can't imagine how a picky eater couldn't find anything (actually, there was an adult male at the table next to us who did refuse to eat anything, including fries. He said that he would eat at McDonalds when his party finished)

Live entertainment starts at 9pm.

Kid friendly; lots of families; kid drink containers. Seating on the patio if you prefer.

In my opinion, one of the best values on site (and value = price + quality, not just price)

THANK YOU for the quick response...I think we can eat there. I can't imagine DH turning down a good sit down meal for McDonald's...LOL

Now that's just wrong!!

Oh, yes, we were soooo shocked. Actually, his table mates made it sound like it was a regular occurance.

But come on - not even a side of mashed potatoes? veggies? soup? He didn't even eat the bread or the dip because they looked 'weird'. Oh well, gave us something to talk about!!

Thanks for the info. I'd love to try it! I think I'll make this our first night since we don't check in to BC until the morning. :flower:

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant. I stopped in to see the decor over Thanksgiving and plan to eat there next trip this month. The menu sounds wonderful.

And in a few years, after this guy has a series of heart attacks, he'll sue McDonald's on the basis that his poor health is a result of eating their food.

The menu has changed since then - the wonderful ribeye, unfortunately, is no longer part of the normal menu, there are fewer sides and they are $3.95 or so instead of $4.50.

Most of the items are still the same. The mashed potatoes we had on Christmas no longer were the mustard (and remember, a lot of dishes come with sides to begin with).

I'd love to go into some depth about this, one of our new favorites, but short version: we loved it. It was a frankly astonishing combination of atmosphere, quality, price, and service. Our family of four is equally divided between picky and not-so, and we ate our fill and were satisified.

Candidly, it was my DS's dessert of "bread and butter pudding" that elevated this whole experience into the stratosphere. It came in an individual crock of its own, with two little tureens, one of butter cream, one of a caramel concotion ... the waitress instructed him to dig a hole in the pudding itself, and pour a little of each tureen in the hole and to stir a bit.

Well. Glory. Taste bud nirvana.

And the entrees were darn good, too.

I'll post some more later, about this and some of our other experiences Dec. 26 - Jan. 2. It was a great week for groceries.
