Hi All, it's been about 5 years since I've been to Raglan Road and was wondering what everyone's thoughts are. Last time I went the show was great and the food was pretty good. I'm trying to plan our first night, we arrive Wed 2/27 at 1pm and I'm trying to plan that day and night for us but am second guessing my Raglan Road reservation.

I think Disney Springs is a pretty good location, are there any other restaurants there that I should consider? We are 2 adults. Or should we hit the lounges and do apps here and there?

We always enjoy Raglan Road, although my current favorite location in DS is Wine Bar George. We sat at the bar and had the bartender create custom flights for us, and my husband even had a glass of wine poured by George himself. We also got the cheese plate which was fantastic and cannot wait to go back for the food. Since it is your arrival day and you never know with travel delays I suggest booking whichever restaurant you choose via OpenTable if available so that you don’t need to worry about cancellation fees.

I really liked my visit to Raglan Road. The food, atmosphere and entertainment were excellent.

My second choice is the House of Blues, shrimp & grits are awesome. Has some outdoor seating and live entertainment also.

Great advice for arrival day. I've enjoyed Raglan Road every year for the past 5 years. Entertainment is consistently great. However, everyone and their granny wants to enjoy it so do let the podium know you want to be in the main room with the main entertainment stage and are willing to wait an extra 15 mins or so to get in there. There are quiet outlier rooms and the outside patio and while some entertainment does cycle through the other rooms, it isn't the same IMO.

The food has had its ups and downs over the years. I used to love the lamb shank but abandoned it about 3 yrs ago when it shrunk in size and lost flavour. Last year I enjoyed the gnocchi with scallops and would get it again. Ger's Bread Pudding is always excellent for dessert. Always had great service.

Thanks all! I never thought to use Open Table, great suggestion!!! I will suggest the main room as my friend has never been there and would love the show. You're all the best, thanks :flower1:

Definitely go with the Raglan Reservation via Open Table then if you chance your mind you have nothing to worry about. We do enjoy stopping in several places and just having a drink or two and an appetizer so we can try more. Current favs of ours are Homecoming, Morimoto, and the Boathouse. All have bars we haven't had an issue getting a seat at.

The locals visit Disney Springs as well as WDW visitors but since your arrival date is on a Wednesday you should be fine hopping around from place to place. You should also be fine just staying in one place such as Raglan Road. I can't think of any lounge or TS that we haven't enjoyed at Disney Springs with the exception of Frontera Cocina and truth be known my family's opinion is in the minority. I could see returning there for drinks and small plates but nobody in my party is ready to eat a full meal there again. Where ever you choose to eat and or drink at Disney Springs will be fun.

Agree about Wine Bar George. Really enjoyed that and Raglan Road on our last trip.
Both are definite ones to go back to next trip.

For two adults, I'd do a tour of lounges and appetizers.

Isn't there a bar at the Raglan outside eating area where a musician usually plays?

There is outside seating there yes, but in between there and Cookes of Dublin is the FAMOUS "hole in the wall bar" where I have spent a good portion of my kids inheritance without one bit of guilt. pirate: If you talk nicely, you can basically get anything on either Cookes or Raglan menu. If your like me the only downside is I don't have a never ending bladder. pirate:

We love Ragland Road---it is especially fun with just adults later at night. Another favorite of mine is the Boathouse there in DS too.

Yeah, the bar at Raglan is beautiful! And the beers on tap are all worthy. And I love good Irish entertainment.
