has anyone been? are they open for lunch? is there a seating area for cooke's of dublin? any other information would be appreciated as well.

They are not open for lunch. Raglan Road opens at 3pm. IN fact, the last few times we were there, that end of pleasure island was roped off and the wouldn't even let you in until 3pm.

Yes, there is limited seating around the cookes of dublin restaurant.

The scallop appetizer is Heavenly! ( and I found it was more than enough to eat for an entree)

we ate there last month. The appetizers were okay, the main courses were horrible. The only meal that was passable was my son's fish & chips. The rest was nasty.......
In all of our dining at WDW (10 trips) we've never had a meal as bad as this one.

Could you elaborate? DH and I will be there in 11 days. What meals and appetizers did you have? Were the meals undercooked/overcooked? What made them so horrible? TIA

We really enjoyed ourselves at RR as the music on the weekend we were there was excellent. We ate there twice, with the first time being really late and they just had bar food available. That night, we had the Dalkey Duo which is basically an appetizer of deep fried sausages. We thought they were really good. (We do like irish sausages, though.) And we split a fada burger and fries. The burger was awesome with really good cheddar. The flavor of the burger was what made it really great. I might even say it was better than burgers at Le Cellier, which I absolutely love!

The next time we ate dinner at the bar and ordered from the full menu. The colcannon soup was really unbelievable. Our entrees were not great, though. I did not like the shephard's pie at all and my DH ordered some dish that did not come out the way we thought it would based on the menu description. It was some sort of a sausage dish which I cannot find on the menu on all ears. It was just strange and not very good.

That being said, I would go back for the awesome traditional music, the burgers, soup and appetizer as those were all really good. Maybe this is a good place to enjoy the music and order from the bar menu.

And had the steak, it was good. Hoping to go back in May. ;)

My husband and I tried Raglan Road at the end of January. I would say this restaurant had it pros and cons. Things we liked: the atmosphere was very busy and fun...it was loud but in a good way, like everyone is having a good time. We enjoyed listening to the band, the manager, Jay, was so friendly and stopped at our table and chatted with us for several minutes. He seemed very genuine and gave us several recommendations for what to eat for dinner. Since we were on the dining plan (which RR does take), we both ordered an appetizer and we both LOVED our appys. At the end of our meal we were so ful, we ordered one dessert to share, and I thought it was delish! we got the bread pudding, served wtih 2 warm sauces to pour over it! heavenly!

Things we didn't like: our waitress never smiled, never gave us any help with the menu, and wasn't very friendly. However, Jay (with his lovely accent!) made up for our waitresses lack of a personality. OUr entrees were only average. They were hot and fresh just not very flavorful. DH wanted the bangers and mash, but they were out of the sausages. I had the pot pie, dh had some sort of ham I think. both were average.

Overall, I think we would try RR again but maybe just go for beer and appetizers and the entertainment! Maybe we just ordered the "wrong" thing for dinner?

We've been there 3 times, and really enjoyed each experience!

DH and I do the Scallop Forest appetizer for our entrees, and share either the Bread & Butter Bread Pudding or the Strawberry/Apple tart.

Really yummy (IMHO), and although the Shepherd's Pie is a bit different, I loved the meat and sauce. The mashed potatoe topping was very good also, but I was saving my carbs for dessert.

I need to mention the Irish Soda Bread that they bring to the table though- it's really tasty!

It can't hurt to give it a try once.......

We just happened in there one Friday evening in January and had a great time and really enjoyed our food. Had fish and chips (I'm was in heaven as soon as I saw that malt vinegar) and my dining partner had the steak. She said it was good. The best part of the meal was the bread pudding dessert! Wow! We'd go back just for that! The entertainment was wonderful, Jay is fantastically friendly, our server was great. We don't even drink alchohol and had a good enough time to say we'll be going again.

What time does the entertainment start?
Do you have to go for dinner? Or can you make ressies just for appetizers or dessert?
