Raglan Road - Wonderful!

What time does it open? I will be there next week and read it is only open for dinner, not lunch.
Gayle

It opens at 3pm, when Pleasure Island opens. We had a late lunch there on our trip. Enjoy! :flower:

Me and the Mrs. made a visit last week and had a great time. Guinness was flowing and the snacks were super. Originally went for dinner and then decided to munch on the appetizers instead. We had the following:

Dalkey Duo - Dalkey-battered cocktail sausages with a Dalkey mustard dipping sauce $9.99 (OUTSTANDING - HIGHLY RECOMMEND)

Scallop Forest - forks of scallops served with a lime dipping sauce $12.99
(OUTSTANDING - HIGHLY RECOMMEND)

Smart Salmon - Sumptuous layers of smoked salmon, cream cheese and pancakes served with a watercress salad. $11.95 (GOOD)

The staff went out of their way, very friendly and couteous. Unfortuantely did not take the Disney Meal Card but we are making a point of returning there on our next trip in January.....next time Shepard's Pie!!!!

We did this place a week or so ago. I loved the atmosphere and service was pretty good too.

However, I was less impressed with the food. It wasn't bad, just not as good as you get over at R&C. At our table of 5, there were 3 sheppards pies, one fish and chips and one hamburger. The burger was great - go just for that. OTOH, the sheppards pies and fish & chips were just ok.

Everybody's taste is different...

We went on 12/10 and used our $50 GC. Boy, we loved it!! Food was fabulous and so was the atmosphere. :goodvibes We walked in at about 4pm and were seated quickly. DH had the Smoke house Salmon. And DD and I had Burgers. We will definitely be returning. We also picked up a few things in the gift shop.

BTW the giftshop is not setup to charge to your room key. :confused3

I will be there in Feb. the 3rd to be exact. :cool1: Can hardly wait!

Could someone tell me where they got the gift certificates for Raglan Road?

For people who've been, were there any children there? Would it be inappropriate to bring a 5 and 2 year old early in the afternoon? I'd love to try this place, but we can only go if we can bring the kiddies. Actually, I bet my kids would love the show but 9 is way past their bedtime!

CJ- the $50 gift certificates were a promotion that was being offered from Clear Channel when Raglan Road initially opened. $25 for a $50 gift certificate, but they sold out quickly and I doubt will be offered again.

kfeuer- when we dined there in late October there were two families also dining, both with small children about the ages of yours. The servers were great with the kids, so go and have a great time! :goodvibes

Sorry to hear the gift certificates are no longer available, but DD & I are still looking forward to trying this place out in February! The smoked salmon for 2 sounds delicious!!

Thanks to all who posted reviews. I'm definitely looking forward to checking this place out! :sunny:

We dined there a few weeks ago and really loved the food and atmosphere. My only complaint was that I did not like where they sat us you could not see any of the rest of the restaurant from our table, there was awall blocking any othere view. I can see where there are some people who will think that the portions are small compared to othere places. For my wife and myself the portion sizes are just right.

Wow! A lot of good comments. :sunny: We may have to try it in June. Is there an entertainment schedule (maybe at Steve Soaris' (sp?) site) ?

:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

I'm not a big fan of band music when eating--is it relatively "quiet" prior to whatever entertainment they have scheduled??

the band starts at 9pm...so no worries.

I was hoping to find some recent reviews since our trip is less than 5 weeks away. Thank you for all the reviews. We were one of the lucky ones who scored the $50 gift certificates for $25 and I now I'm excited about going. All your reviews have made me so hungry!!

Irish tiramisu??? I'm going to have to try this. I love traditional Italian tiramisu, so I'm intrigued at the thought of an Irish version.

It is quite good!

We had dinner there this past weekend, and yes, there were plenty of kids, all ages. It is really a nice atomosphere for a family dinner.
