Trying to figure out our "date night" while at WDW. My original plan was for RR, but the more I think about it, the more I would rather be at Epcot after dinner than DD. What do you think? Who has the better food?

I think Raglan Road is more of a "dating" atmosphere. It's got a band and a stepdancer (after 8PM Monday - Saturday). I don't know about food, since I've never been to Rose & Crown, but I love the food at Raglan Road.

I, too, have gone back and forth between the two. I finally decided to go w/RR because I've not heard a single bad review on RR, but R&C sometimes gets mixed reviews. Plus, we'll be eating so much at Epcot that it'll be nice to get away from there for just a little bit.

You could do both - have a meal at one and stop in for drinks later at the other. Rose & Crown has the hat lady that performs at the bar. Raglan Road has the band and step dancer, both easily viewed from their bar.

Enjoy your date night!

We went to R&C last year for my husband's birthday and honestly I was not impressed. He is from Scotland so I wanted to treat him to some authentic food that would remind him of home. This food was not the "traditional" british food I was expecting. Also the portions are very small. Our waitress was great and told us to come back for the IllumiNations and mention her name to get a spot to watch the show on the patio. I thought that was great, but I woudn't go back for the food. Check out the menu and see if there are things you would like as, everyone has different tastes. Also, the atmosphere was more "stuffy" than romantic. I have never eaten at RR so I can't compare, but I have heard a lot of good things :)

I would always rather be at Epcot so this would be a difficult choice for me too. We're eating at R&C this time but I'm with DS so no date for me. ;)

I've eaten at both and my vote goes for Raglan Road. The food was waaaaay better then at Rose & Crown. Also, they have Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding which is one of the best desserts at WDW!!!:thumbsup2

My husband and I ate at RR last year for the first time and LOVED it. We're going to WDW for 10 days in December and we've made reservations to eat at RR twice! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Just a bit off topic, sorry OP. But whatss so bad about R&C?,my DS wants to go there so bad and the more I here about It tells me to stay away. So why?
