Hi all I'm new here and of course my first post has to be about food:lmao:

We are going to Disney next year for the first time ever and I was wondering if Raglan Road does anything special for St. Patrick's Day? My dh is Irish and we will be at Disney on St. Pats Day how perfect is that. If they do have something special is it an all day long affair I would prefer to go for an early dinner since our children will be with us and it could get rowdie later on.

Thank you so much for your help.

I'm guessing that it would be hard for anyone to say for sure since all the clubs at Pleasure Island are closing (this week.) :sad2: We were at PI last year over St. Pats Day and they had a sort of general celebration with a live band and some decorations. We walked by Raglan Road, but I don't recall if there was anything specific going on there.

We ate dinner at RR last week (had ADR's) and when we checked in at 6:30, they told us there was a 2 hour limit. We didn't know why until we were seated - they were celebrating "half way to St. Patrick's Day" with a live Irish band and Irish dancers. They didn't stop the whole time we were there! They also passed out green necklaces (Mardi Gras type) and hats. Lots of fun - I can only imagine what they'd do for the real day!

I was going to also mention the 1/2 way to St. Pat's day as well. So I assume if they do something in Sept, then they will definitely do more in March. Go and have fun!

Raglan Road is fantastic..

also, if you want a great St. Paddy's day party don't forget about Pat O'Briens over at city walk. What they do there is amazing and a ton of fun..all day/night depending on what day the 17th falls on.

I was there Saturday as well and did not think it was so fun. Service was lousy! Food was mediocre and the place was loud. The checkin wait, with an ADR, was an hour when we got there at 6:10 and when we left it was a 2 hr wait.

It all depends what you ate looking for. I was looking for dinner with friends, and got a loud lousy dining experience. If you are there for a party, food not being all that important and like it non-stop loud, you may love it.

If not for the bread pudding  it would have been an all around loss

It seems like I remember reading somewhere that they did not take ADRs for St. Patricks Day...it was walk up only with VERY lenghty waits.

Does anyone know if this is the case? We'll be there the 17th too and I'd like to go but not if I can't get an ADR for an early dinner.

Raglan Road is not closing. St. Patrick's day at this restaurant is a very festive event. The servers will all be totally into the celebration and you'll see kitchy Irish decor, jewelry, hats ect. on nearly every one of them.

There are no ADRs that night, nor does DDE apply, nor will they honor DDP.

Last year there was a U2 tribute band and the place was mobbed.

It's much quieter during the day, with the partying increasing as the evening approaches.

If you go and don't want to get caught up in loud music, heavily drinking guests and very crowded conditions, go early.

Thank you for your reply. I did see in later posts that this particular place isn't closing. If you don't mind my asking why are the clubs closing?

Thank you for all of the replies. I'm not sure if I'm actually replying to all of you correctly so forgive me if I'm doing this the wrong way but I will pick it up eventually.

It sounds like it's fun and now I'm excited to go. I am a little disappointed that there are no ADR's but I guess I can understand that. With the kids we will go early but they will get a huge kick out of the festivities. Does anyone know if the lengthy waits apply to during the late afternoon/early evening hours too?

Thank you again everyone!
