Raglan Road or Paddlefish?

We're planning a celebration lunch for 25. Both Paddlefish and Raglan Road have offered us a private room (Snug room at Raglan Road, the upstairs deck at Paddlefish). Both are the same price per person and will include starter salad, main dish and dessert. Raglan Road doesn't appear to have a food & drink minimum. Assuming that is true, they would be significantly cheaper.

We've never been to either, so I need some help. If you had to choose one for a celebration lunch on a Friday in January, which one would you choose and why?

We have not been to Paddlefish since before Covid, but did have a nice meal there. If the room they are giving you is the one I am thinking of, it has both indoor and outdoor space which would be nice. I did not realize Raglan Road had a private room - does snug mean everyone had to get up if one person needs to use the restroom?

The name of the room is funny too me, too! They say it seats 28. And yes, the surface at Paddlefish is indoor and outdoor. Technically the outdoor space isn't private, but it's not open to the public until 5 and we'll wrap up by 3:30.

A snug is just a small room in a pub. Maybe it’s one of the side rooms.

I adore Raglan Road but a big part of why I love it is the entertainment. Would that be operating midday on a Friday? I should also note if your group of 25 wants to have detailed conversations, Raglan (IF the band is operating) may not be the place -- it can be loud --but very festive. I attended a private event on the rooftop at Paddlefish a few years ago and it was lovely. If I am picturing it correctly, the room on Paddlefish's rooftop is much more separated/secluded than the rooms at Raglan which are really more like alcoves (in my memory ... I could be wrong).
