HI! I am planning a sit down dinner for our resort day and cannot decide between HDDR and RR. We have not been to either. We are a family of four, with two of those being a teen and a tween. We have visited DL and WDW numerous times, but just looking for a new experience. Part of me is leaning towards RR because we can meander around Disney Springs and stay for the drone show. But, HDDR looks fun too. What do you think, if you have done both of these. And, thanks in advance!

These experiences are very different. One is a show and pre-fixe meal, and RR is a restaurant with musicians and sometimes Irish Dancers which you may or may not be able to see very well. We enjoy the food at RR, but the music might/might not appeal to teens and tweens. HDDR is a corny musical and a lot of fun. The food is decent, not great but certainly enjoyable. You go to HDDR for the show- and it is absolutely worth doing once. I don't think there is a bad choice here so you might consider what your family would like more, seated entertainment at HDD or more casual park like experience meandering Disney Springs while waiting for the show.

I have been to both several times, and I love both. But since the drone show is only a temporary thing and HDD isn’t, I’d pick RR this trip.

Both are a nice way to spend family together time. When we traveled with children HDDR was a must do for the 4th of July. Just seems very American in food and entertainment (lighthearted ribbing).

Often seemed to wander into RR during DS afternoons. Only listened to the entertainment if we sat on the patio but it was a pleasant way to pass the time.

Either one is fun and you’ll have to choose remembering there is always next time 🙂

I just did HDDR recently for the first time.
The show is funny and definitely worth doing once.
However, I thought the food was very mediocre.

We’ve done both and prefer RR.

I’m generally not a fan of dinner shows. Service is rushed.
I prefer to relax and enjoy a nice meal. The food at RR is very good.
And we find it easier to get to DS. Getting to HDDR is a bit of a pain.
Plus it’s always nice to roam around DS in the evening. :)

We’ve done HDDR several times over the years (with different groups -of extended family and friends) and it’s a lot of fun. The food is okay; the show is the draw for us (corny, but very high energy). But Raglan Road is by far our favorite restaurant and we never miss it on our trips. The food is great and it’s a fun environment. The entertainment is wonderful. RR would get my vote.

Raglan Road is amazing. My suggestion, if you're willing to wait, is to make sure you get a table in the main room. It can take a longer time to get those tables, but it is worth it - especially if it is your first time. Food is amazing too.
