I have been asking on these boards about the Lemon Sole at Raglan Road and so far no one has answered me that they have tried it! So I decided to post a new thread.. I am torn between the sole and the stuffed pork, but I love seafood so wandered hat the sole was like. Any tips or reccomendations are appreciated.. Thanks.

My son had the sole at RR some months ago. I don't remember it being described as lemon sole at that point. In fact, I think it was described as Dover Sole then as the server warned us that it wasn't deboned at the table as is customary with that dish in our area.

Anyway, he loved it as he's a fish lover. It was lightly breaded which is also different from what we're used to with Dover Sole.

None of us have had the stuffed pork so can't help there.

Everything we've had at RR has been good to great. Service can be slow however.

If you love seafood I recommend the It's not Bleedin Chowder. It is amazing and the only thing that anyone in my party raved about this past trip. No one had the sole unfortunately. Honestly, I don't remember seeing it on the menu. They have had some menu changes so don't get your heart set on anything!!

The chowder by the way is like a big bowl of mixed seafood...mussels, shrimp, salmon, scallops, etc, in a rich cream sauce. It is FAB.

We dined there in August. DD13 had the sole; I had the stuffed pork. I tasted DD's sole and thought it was okay. Nothing great. I also wasn't terribly impressed with the pork. We loved the appetizers and dessert. Next time, we don't intend to do the dining plan and will probably go there just for appetizers and dessert. (The drunk chicken was yummy and they have the best bread pudding I've ever had. I can't recall our other appetizer and dessert.)

Do you mean it has the bones in it?

Thanks for your help! I remember my mum always wanted sole when she had been sick and was just getting an appetite .My Dad would steam it and lighly season it with salt & pepper and a little lemon juice. Which is why when I saw it I was so intrigued!!

Not at all. It was served as a fillet with a light bread coating. But that was either last May or January. When we had lunch at RR in October, there was a new menu so the dinner menu could be different as well...probably is!

Thanks for the info I just didn't want it to have a head and eyes staring at me!:lmao: No bones is a plus too! I hope it's still on the menu!!
