Raglan Road for vegetarians... w/o mushrooms?

I'm curious if anyone else has ever encountered this. I'd like to eat at Raglan Rd for my trip in May, but I am a vegetarian (ovo-lacto) who is allergic to mushrooms (yeah... it's awesome fun lol) and it looks like all of their veg dishes are mushroom-based. Has anyone had anything there that is vegetarian and NOT mushroom based?

Thanks! :)

I ate there in December, and they had a tasty risotto that they made with veg stock for me. I do NOT, however, know if it was a mushroom-based stock.

But I don't even see it on the menu, either allears' updated in May '10 or the dis updated Oct '10, so it's possible there are other things on the menu there that aren't listed on those two sites.

And if all else fails, my son had the kid's meal of mac and cheese, and it was TASTY. Also, filling; nearly the same portion size as my risotto!

I am almost in the same boat, so I understand how you feel. I eat alot of vegetarian meals, and am allergic to mushrooms. Pain in the butt. I hope you get some interesting replies. Wish you the best:)

You may be the only other vegetarian I've met who's allergic to mushrooms! There are so many more veg options now than when I went veg nearly 20 years ago (gosh that makes me feel OLD) but so many of them are made with mushrooms, lol. Especially veggie burgers.

Bumbershoot, thanks. I had looked at the Mac N Cheese. I'm considering upgrading from QSDP to DDP and whether or not I can eat here (we reallllly want the Bailey's Creme Brulee) is one of the deciding factors.

My husband has now told me he thinks the stock was mushroom-based. :(

It was a super-fun place, though LOUD. If you mainly want the dessert, why not just go for dessert and pay OOP for it? I'm SURE they wouldn't mind it, and if you had a beer (they serve, among other things, Orlando Brewing's organic beers) or glass of wine, etc etc.

Also, if you could find a phone number for RR, you could call and see if they can arrange for a no-mushroom no-meat meal for you...

Yeah, I could. But it will cost me $40 to upgrade, and we are already doing one other TS ($25 estimate) so I can spend $30 OOP for a buffet and dessert or 40 for four TS meals, lol.

I probably will just give them a ring closer to our trip dates. Thanks for all of your help!

Although I am not a vegetarian, I do also have a mushroom allergy and have eaten at Raglan Road on numerous occasions. I have always found the staff to be very helpful and obliging when questions have been asked (DS also has a severe nut allergy).

I'm sure you will find something suitable :)

Thanks! That is what I am looking at having n August!

I had this as an appetizer in May- the "Art Tart" (asparagus and goat cheese tart with garden peas, leeks and lemon oil dressed arugula). Paired with a salad and their delicious bread and olive oil/guiness dip, I bet it would be filling enough for an excellent meal!
