All the times I have been to AK we never went on the train over to Rafiki's planet. I will make it a must do on my next trip. I was looking at the AK map and saw no dining listed under that section. Do they have anything in this section, bottled water, quick snacks etc?

I don't remember any type of dining (even snack carts) being there last time I visited (Oct '12). Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.:)

I don't remember any either. I'd suggest grabbing a snack before you get on the little train over there if you think anyone is going to get hungry.

There is a very small cart - I want to say they sell Hot Dogs, but not positive.

thanks I know the only way back and forth is with that train so I want to make sure I have something for my little one just in case we are there for a while.

There is an ice cream cart right outside the entrance. They also had the bottled drinks. We all had some after the petting zoo on our last trip. As you can see my children are older but they love the petting zoo. Go figure! And they are country kids. The goats are very entertaining and my DD fell in love with a pig.:goodvibes It's a fun break from the crowds and chaos of the main park.

How often is the train? I assume that there is one that just keeps making the round trip. Like every 10-15 minutes?

I remember the ice cream cart. I want to say that the gift shop has bottled water, as well - maybe even bottled soda.

There are two trains that run the loop continuously. Seems like it is about 10-15 minutes between each.
