After reading so many reviews on this board and on other sites I was extremely worried but Radisson Worldgate must have read those reviews too since we had none of those issues. First off, I knew that I would be staying in an area with a lot of other hotels and businesses so I had no expectation that the hotel's location would be like a Disney resort. However, my first impressions of the hotel was very positive as we drove up. Approaching the front desk we were met with a very warm hello and we were promptly taken care of. We were asked for our preferences and everything we asked for we got. We were even comp'd free breakfast for our entire trip since I am a Goldpoints member. We got a room in the South tower on the 7th floor. The entire first floor was nice and didn't have any outdated feel to it. As soon as we got off the elevator on our floor I was impressed with how clean and modern things looked. There was nothing dingy or smelly about the hallways. We reached our room and the moment of truth was about to unfold. We opened the door and was immediately surprised. Carpet was new and clean, beds were made and the sheets were sharp and clean. By the way, both beds were sleep number beds. Decor was typical of most hotels these days and the bathroom was clean. I looked for those things that others wrote about, e.g., mold, lifted carpet, bugs, leaking windows, odd smells, damp feel, etc., but we found none of that. By the way, we already swam in both of their pools and they are both very nice. The main pool at night gets lighted up with tiki torches and red uplighting on the palm trees to give a tropical feel. I am very happy and will be enjoying the rest of our 8 day vacation here.
