I just bid on Priceline and got this hotel for 11/27 through 11/29/2009. The price accepted was $35 per night. We decided to go out a few days early, and are already staying at the Contemporary Magic Kingdom View room for 8 nights, and extending that is just too pricey. Has anyone stayed here? How was it? Thanks in advance for your help! :)

It is decent enough, certainly for your Priceline rate, though how nice sort of depends on what building you get. It is an older property, and when we've stayed, we got the renovated, more "business" wing with SleepNumber beds, nice duvets. The pool is ok, though I cannot recall how well it is heated (given your trip is late November). Like almost anywhere else in Orlando, they charge a resort fee. Never tried any of the restaurants, cannot comment on the food. FWIW.

This is one of Mary's preferred hotels. You can read about it at www.mousesavers.com Click on WDW, then Resorts, and then Preferred Resorts.

Our family is staying there over spring break, I got a Hotwire deal for $50 a night. I stayed here 15 years ago when it was called something else. I made a post asking which buildings people suggested that have stayed there. I think the lower levels are musty from what I've heard. But some buildings are nicer than others. Wireless is not in all buildings from what I've read. Some beds are rock hard and some are sleep number beds. If anyone has stayed here and could suggest which buildings to stay in and/or room/floors it would be greatly appreciated.

I have stayed there a few times. They have two pools, one big one with a waterslide, which I am not sure is heated, and another smaller one which is heated nicely. There are two really nice hot tubs, and a shallow kiddie pool. There is a small diner which offers pizza hut pizza, chicken, hot dogs, burgers, and a small store. There regular restaurant is Mandolins, which has a great breakfast buffet, but other meals are very expensive, and not very good. They have games at the big pool all day for kids. There are a couple of bars which are nice. I found every room I had to be clean, and of decent size. There are a bunch of turtle ponds all around the grounds which kids seem to like. They also have washers and dryers available. You got a great price. Have fun!

I'll be there in April/May. Would love to have this information too!!!

We stayed there last year during Spring Break - last minute trip the week before Easter. We were in building 6000 - it was a nice location, near the pool and restaurant. It was a bit of a walk to the main lobby but we really did not need to go over there too much except for the counter service breakfast over there. Our building seemed a lot more convenient than some of the others.

The pool was nice, one heated and one not. It was a nice pool area with a nice pool bar.

Mandolins did have a great breakfast buffet but we had dinner there one night and it was overpriced and average food - if you go out and north on 192 there are some nicer restaurants. There was something odd with the breakfast buffet - it said "kids eat free" but they charged for their beverages which was like $5.00 each so it did not seem "free" to us.

The first night of our stay we had a first floor room facing a parking lot. It was a nice room though. We then moved up to the top floor facing the pool. We had connecting rooms. One room was ok but the other one was very musty. They did have the sleep number beds which was very nice. Most days we had a really nice and efficient maid, but she was off one day and the person who cleaned did not do a good job at all.

They did have the resort fee. I think we got it for $89/night plus the $10 resort fee. I was grateful since it was a last minute trip. It is VERY convenient to Disney, we had a car. There is a shuttle but it seem rather restrictive as far as times go.

For the prices people have mentioned I think it is very worthwhile. I would just say if you end up in a musty room - ask to be moved.

Ironically, even though Celebration is in the name, it's actually located across the street. It's right by I-4 and 192, so you have a ton of fast food chains and restaurants to choose from and can easily pop over to Celebration to hang out for a chance of pace. There is also a Walgreens and Publix not far down the road (just under the 417 bridge).

Thanks, that's very helpful!

Wehn you are coming out of the Radisson if you turn right onto 192 and travel about 2-3 miles, there is a Cracker Barrel and a Carrabas Italian restaurant. In the adjoining shopping center is a really nice grocery store. They also had some nice Disney tshirts etc.

There's a closer Cracker Barrel if you turn left (just past Old Town). If you go to the other Cracker Barrel (right turn) and keep going, there will be a brand new Target on one side of the street and a Publix on the other. The Target is so new that it doesn't open till March 8th!
