Any advice on this property? Has anyone stayed here and liked/disliked it? Any info would be appreciated.

It's on 192 - not in Celebration - just across the street from the entrance. It's tucked back so it's not really "on" 192. Never stayed there.

:flower3: People tend to say there's things in Celebration, or close to, and in fact certain hotels aren't in Celebration, FL!:confused3
Specifically, Celebration doesn't rent out to tourists, very rare find if you can find something!Sounds better, but alot of those properties across the street, aren't that great at all!

Craigslist.com under rentals, housing, there's realtors/etc that are constantly using that a selling point, but really it's a property across the street, or farther down the road. We love Celebration and have finally gotten to buy there and unfortunatly there are still alot of unscrupulus businesses that say hotels/lodging is located there=yea if only.
But there isn't.
Only Celebration Hotel. $$$, and it's really not geared for small children.

A little bit of blissful peace in the middle of Orlando!:flower3:

This resort says it is at the entrance to Celebration not actually in it. They seem to have an awful lot going on at the pool for both kids and adults and the plus of being close to the parks, a good kids eat free program and having a good mousesavers rate. I was curious if anyone has ever stayed here and can tell me how the rooms really are and the restaurants and the activities. TIA!

HI there - we have stayed there twice (once as a couple, and once with our 2 year old) and actually quite like it (and I am pretty picky about accomodations). The rooms are clean and comfortable - albeit pretty standard hotel rooms. We only ate once at the restaurant for breakfast and it was fine. They have a little deli where you can get Pizza Hut Pizza made (and delivered to your room), sandwiches, drinks etc. You can also get Starbucks coffee and pastries for breakfast which we did every morning. The pool areas are nothing fancy but nice and spacious. It does not have a lot of the amenities of some of the bigger hotels and there is not any Disney theming but we really like it and for the price and location , it can't be beat. I think you'll be happy.

I'm really thinking of staying hear too. We are going in October and I really like the idea of saving some money before Christmas.
On mousavers that mention that kids eat free. That is a great perk to save money.I also like the idea of having better cable TV just in case we do an early night.
The only draw back would be that I would have to spend money to park at Disney.

Anyone know what the rates usually run in late October.

We've gone in October and paid about $79 per night. Do you get the Mousesaver's newsletter? Keep checking it because they often advertise specials for this hotel. I'm pretty sure they have a shuttle to the parks as well - we never used it so I'm not positive but I do recall reading about it.

WOW...I just read some pretty bad reviews on this hotel on another site. Now I don't know what to do.
The $79 per night would be a great deal. But there are allot of reports about stinky rooms.

Really? Never noticed that as a problem. The last time we were there they were renovating and there was paint, contact cement smell etc but only in the hallways. That was over a year ago. Anyone gone recently that can comment on this?

I saw the bad reviews on tripadvisor. But Mousesavers gives this hotel good marks. Anyone been there recently?

We were there in July, and it was nice, no smell, comfy beds, and the kids loved the pool slide !

HTH

How would you compare the Raddison to a Disney Value resort? I have a car, so transportaion is not a problem. I figure the prices would be about the same for the resorts, with the $10 resort fee.

Mousesavers gives it good reviews and I think if I remember correctly their last visit was last year. I am 95% sure that we will stay here especially after the comments from IMK and Hollymommy (is that right?) here. The activities at the pool are great especially for my older DS that is kind of outgrowing the Nick Hotel. The rooms are not suites but we really don't use the room much and they do have a good kids eat free program. I will have to check the AAA rating for it too. I think it may be a good place to stay. They are quoting me a price of either $97 ot $107 depending on the day in August and that is the mousesavers rate. Much better than Nick Hotel's $333 and more to do. They do have shuttles to all the parks, Disney, US and Seaworld, but we always just rent a car and like to work on our schedule. I would rather pay the $$ to park than pay over $200 more a night for a room. Thanks for all the info everybody!

Oh and mousesavers compared the Radisson as cheaper than a moderate with a pool comparable to a deluxe if that helps.

You are correct, this resort will save money with the kids eat free. I don't mind paying to park. We do plan to drive to Dinsey for our dining anyway. And I don't think I want to put out $$$$ for Disney passes for everyday. I would much rather buy a 2 or 3 day pass & do the Halloween party on days that I don't buy the pass. We also plan to fit in Universal and maybe Seaworld.
Maybe the contruction at this resort is what created the mess. Tripadvisor's site really put I scare in me. But I do trust Mousesavers and I trust allot of what I read on DIS.

I don't know if you already booked or not, but I believe there is an additional savings off the Mousesaers rate if you book by 04/22.

We stayed there last year with no problems. It's a large resort facility but everything was ship shape. Mary at Mousesavers is pretty picky IMHO, so I would have no reservations about staying there again..:cool2:

Has anyone parked their car there lately? Was there a parking charge as a guest? thanks!
