I booked Radisson Resort at the Port for the night before my Dream cruise in June. It was not my first choice, but it was my ONLY choice available since there is a shuttle launch that weekend and all hotels were booked up! I could not even believe it! I heard some negative reviews about it and i'm just wondering if anyone can share their experiences at this hotel with me. I would especially want to know if their shuttle system if efficient, on time, and good. I booked the 10:00 am shuttle.

THANKS!:goodvibes

We had a great experience with the shuttle in both directions. The guy loading the shuttle (taking attendance, etc) was a college grad with majors in French and Music (I think!) He and DD had quite a conversation. We actually left about 10 minutes early because everyone was on the bus early and all seats were filled. It was a quick hop over to the port (DCL was the only stop). On the way "home," there was maybe a 10 minute wait for the shuttle. The driver took us all the way to our vehicle in the lot.

The pool is probably the best of the nearby hotels. The hotel is one of the older ones, but has been decently maintained/upgraded, etc. It's not luxury, but it's totally adequate. It is better inside than out (something I found in many Cocoa Beach area hotels!)

I know that Brucechase had a horrible shuttle experience that he has detailed on the boards. I don't doubt his report at all, but it does not correspond with our experience.

I would saying not to worry.... didn't matter if good or bad as only one night...

We stayed for two nights for PC disney cruise 08, my kids loved swimming pool... and we like the restaurant which outside 5 mins walk...oh yes I enjoyed the cocktails which was nice and at night time Kids went back to swimming pool and we relaxed outside to watch them...

Breakfast was okay...

Shutter - mobbed ... you need be ready before 10 am and wait outside...

don't worry you will like it...

Just stayed there December 11 and I was impressed. We had been planning on driving to the terminal since we had our own car, but when we checked in, we not only had an option of an remodeled second floor room or a non-remodeled first floor room (we chose remodeled of course) but they also had two spots left on the 10AM shuttle. The room was nice, the pool was nice but too cold for swimming in December, the entire hotel was nice. The shuttle was nice, and we got to the port fairly early. Boarding number three, but it really didn't delay us that much. The one complaint we had was waiting on the shuttle on the way back seemed like forever. I think it was probably more like 20 minutes, but it was definitely worth the $50 or so we saved by not parking (do remember to tip the drivers).

All in all, not a bad hotel. And as everyone else said, even if you don't have a stellar experience, it is only a stop on the way to the cruise!

We've stayed at the Radisson twice and will have our 3rd visit this November, LOVE it there! Never had an issue with the shuttle, always been on-time for us. Everyone is a bit antsy that day to get to the port so keep that in mind:lmao: We all are impatient as little kids!;)

Stayed there this week. I love the hotel but there shuttle is awful. Don
't have a problem for going to the port but almost always have to wait a long time when getting off. Got in line at 8:50 they didn't come til 9:35. That has happened many times to us. One time caught a hertz bus and one time we paid $20 for a cab ride since we had 4 families.
