anyone familiar with this property?
How close to the park, rooms etc?

I stayed here in June of 2015 and I can safely say I would never go back. The hotel itself was beautiful as where the grounds it was on and the room where fine also. Our biggest problem was the shuttle bus. The bus is tiny. when you are going to the parks you need to get a ticket from the front desk so you need to book on the previous night. However we noticed that the tickets where rarely checked. Coming home from the parks was a nightmare and caused me so much anxiety. The buses run every half hour and for us park close was at 10 so by the time fireworks finished it was 10.20. The next bus was at 10.45 with the last bus at 11.15. each night we literally had to run from the park to the bus to ensure that we would get on and even at the it was a complete free for all. I'm lucky it was just me and my bf but for people there with kids or bugys it was a nightmare. No one gave way for families it was just a "who can get on the bus quickest". if you missed this bus you where left waiting 30 mins on the next one and praying you'd get on that one. It also meant that we couldn't relax after the park closed and have a look around as we had to catch the bus and we'd miss the last one if we wanted to shop. The last night we ended up getting a taxi back as I was so anxious and we just where fed up of running for it.

So yeah, never again!!!

I dont mean to put you off but I would want to know this if it where me!! the hotel its self was beautiful and had they a better shuttle bus i'd stay again. I've since stayed in hi-Park serries and found their bus so so much better. Plus this hotel is a walk able distance to the park.

No, I'm grateful for first hand experience!
This hipark serries, what is it like as far as accommodation?

So apparently its not a hotel as such but more like a apartment style accommodation. We found this out the next day when the cleaners hadn't been in and we where told that becuase its not a "hotel" they don't come in every day. To be honest it really didn't bother us. We where there for 3 nights and got replacement towels when we asked. There's a kitchen in the rooms so we went to the local supermarket and stocked up on food. The bed however isn't a proper bed its a sofa bed but I found it very comfortable. It might not be for everyone given thats its not a "hotel" but we're going back again in September given his proximity to the parks and the fact that it has a kitchen and a great shuttle bus.

We've stayed in the Radisson a couple of times. We were driving so the shuttle was not a problem, we drove ourselves to the park each day. Breakfast was really good, there was a good selection, not too crowded, the fresh orange juice and the muffins were real favourites. The rooms were big and comfy, and quiet.

The Hipark Serris is our usual hotel... We really like having our little apartment, it means our daughter can go to sleep in the bedroom and we can stay up and watch some TV before going to bed, we're not all crammed inside a hotel room. We also like being able to cook our meals, we usually have dinner there (easy things like rice or pasta), but it means we can save a bit of money. The Val d'Europe is really close, if you need to do shopping (or want to go to the restaurants there, they have some nice choices!)

The rooms are not all in top shape, we've had some issues particularly with the shower heads or taps, but more inconveniences than real issues. We've had breakfast in the hotel a couple of times, it's not bad (croissants were really nice), but expensive to eat there every day. We usually take stuff with us to have in the room, but otherwise you can go to Val d'Europe for a nice (and cheaper) breakfast.

We used to park in the street but recently they've made a lot of the streets near the hotel non parking (and we saw a few cars getting fined), so last time we payed to park in the hotel car park. Totally worth it and would do it again. If you're not driving, there's a shuttle, it didn't look as busy as the ones from the partner hotels, but we've never taken it so cannot really comment on it. If you want to walk, it's probably about 10 minutes to the Disney Village.

We've stayed there many times since getting our APs (usually a few trips every year) and will go back again :)

Oh, one thing, in the Hipark they don't come to clean the rooms daily (I think they come every 3 days on long stays). For us it was not a problem (and if you need it there's even a vacuum cleaner in the room), but I've had friends staying there and they didn't like that.

I've come across a few of the type of accommodations ...the sofa bed kind puts me off?
How comfortable can it be?

To put another perspective, this is our favorite non-Disney property.

Breakfast is the best of all hotels around, there are even Chefs in the restaurant room that cook eggs on request just for you! This is seen nowhere else, not even the Castle Club beats that. There is tons of choice, fish, pork, wonderful French cheese…

The shuttle bus can be tiny but you have to make reservations on the most busy times, which should guarantee a pain-free travel. One big plus: this is a direct service, not unlike other properties that share route between hotels (such as Explorers, B&B, Magic Circus and others).

The bar is a nice addition but while the beer is good (Affligem, not unlike Disney's that serve 1664 or Carlsberg only), beware it's pricey (Champaign is more expensive than Café Fantasia!)

Last but not least, the pool, sauna and hammam area is perfect for a nice moment of relaxation.

Always good to have opposite views! How close to the train station is the Radisson Blue? Or is that not an option?

Walking to the train station is definitively not an option (unless you like do that for more than 30 mins). The shuttle bus is convenient, taxi costs 15€ if you're willing to pay (and accepts credit card if told, we just asked the concierge and everything was smooth). You may also use Disney parking lots (though you need to pay for it unless you're an AP holder).

Again, I would hint towards the shuttle bus. Drops at the beginning of Disney parking lot (near Animal Care), runs in a timely fashion (0-30 from the hotel and 15-45 from Disney) and until at least one hour after park closes.

We stayed one night at Radisson Blue in december 2014, but we were not impressed by it. The room was dated and lacked any atmosphere, there were cigarette burns on the curtains. We also used the swimming pool which was tiny for the size of the hotel and also not that modern. I can't compare with other off-site hotels though.
