We are staying at the Radisson the night before our cruise. Unfortunately, my mom, dad, sister, and two nephews booked this same cruise about a month ago and all the Radisson rooms for 5 people were booked already. Would it be possible for them to visit us the night before and join us in the pool? Are there rules against this? If so, I definately will wait to see them until we are on the ship. I would appreciate any advice!

Like most hotels, facilities are typically for "guests only." However you could sneak them in, as I do not remember any "pool police" the times I've stayed there.

Let your conscience be you guide... But you could call and ask, as you will be guests!

I don't like to break rules so I probably won't have them visit the pool, maybe we can meet for dinner somewhere instead. There is another diser who is staying at the Radisson the same night who has a ds the same age as my nephew with similar interests and I was hoping they could meet before getting on the ship.
Thanks anyway!
Please no flames!

Ashley,

The pool is pretty big and there are plenty of chairs around it. I would play it by ear. If there are lots of people using the pool and you'd be taking chairs away from paying guests then I would say wait and meet up on the ship.

When we were there last May there were people at the pool but it wasn't crowded by any means. In that case I don't see a problem in coming over and using your room and the pool for a few hours.

Let common sense and courtesy be your guide. It would also be nice if they do come visit if you use the hotel for your food and beverages so they get something back in the deal.

We have stayed at the Radisson on three different times and always found the staff to be very nice and accommodating. If you feel funny about "sneaking" them in I would just ask at the front desk if it would be all right for you to have a guest for a little while. I don't think they would object. And if they say no, then meet for dinner somewhere else. I have not done this personally at this hotel, but at others that I have stayed at I had guests visit and use facilities with no problems. It is not at all unusual for people to visit family or friends at a hotel.

Here are some pics of the pool at the Radisson.

MJ - thank you for posting the pool pictures. I just showed them to my son. His excitement level went up a couple of notches!

The pool area is really nice, but what you can't see in the pics is there is also a hidden away hot tub area and around the hotel grounds/pool area are life-like replicas of animals...there is a bobcat on top of the ledge by the pool and some other animals around as well.

The used to have a full-size replica of an alligator tethered right outside the hotel lobby door leading to the pool. It was really cool and life-like, but last time we were there in January it was gone. They might have moved it to another area.

The alligator is back. Tethered right by the entrance to the main lobby by the pool.

OMG - my son will love seeing that Alligator! Glad to hear about it! I am thinking maybe some idiots stole or vandalized the alligator, and the Radisson had to repair or replace it....

About the guests at the pool. Now, of course at WDW resorts, with all of the gazillion visitors there, all wanting to pay All-Star rates but enjoy Yacht Club amenities, well Pool Hopping is a big no-no. But in your case, at the Radisson, I say if you would like to get together with a few family members at the pool, probably not too big of a deal? Does look nice!!!
