We are thinking of booking the Radisson at the Port for the night before the cruise. Are there any restaurants or fast food places within close walking distance of the hotel or do we need a rental car.
we are trying to decide between a towncar transfer or renting a car.

There is a McD's across the street from the Raddison, and a sit down restaurant about 1/2 block north of the Raddison. In addition about 2 blocks north of the raddison, there is a gas station/convenience store.

We did Mc'Ds for lunch and breakfast...but for dinner, we took a taxi to Grills so that we could watch the Magic depart on Saturday night prior to us leaving on Sunday! The taxi ride was about 5 minutes, and the charge was about $6 plus tip.

We were so impressed with Grills - we ordered "lightly" since we figured we would be eating "heavily" on the cruise. My DH and I got some sort of grilled chicken sandwich which was wonderful! It was absolutely the coolest though seeing the Magic leave, and hear the horn sound!

Grills has a website - sorry I don't know the address. It was fabulous, and really was a great way to start off our vacation. We only did McD's for lunch because it was almost 2:00 in the afternoon - and we needed food FAST!. However, we did McD's in the morning because I love their hotcakes and sausage!

We had lunch, dinner and breakfast the morning before the cruise at Grills..all were wonderful. We had a car, but, I say it is well worth the money for a cab.

At breakfast, you could see the magic, just sitting there, waiting for us.

I know this was discussed early this year but was wondering how safe the parking at the Radisson is to leave a vehicle for a week?
We are staying the night before our cruise at the Radisson but for the ease of getting in and out, plus the cost will be split between two families for the parking I was thinking I may just park at the Port. With 6 people and luggage (Although I'd probably drop everyone off first and then come by myself) I think I'm leaning to just driving and parking at port myself.

Any thoughts or experiences from others?

btw Grill's webiste is http://www.visitgrills.com/

Cheers,
Grumbo
