I just got back from Port, and promised to let you all know about the Radisson there.
I had no problems, my room was very clean and quiet. I was near the Pool. The air worked great and there was even a ceiling fan. I had a standard King and booked the internet rate.
It was very well kept up, and very clean around the hotel. I don't think anyone should be concerned staying there for the night before the cruise. Any questions, holler,
Lynn

HI Lynn!

Thanks for the report on the Radisson. I already have a 2 king suite booked for our cruise, a year from now! :)

Andy some of the others were in the 2 king suite, and said they were very nice. I think you will be happy there.

We have a 2 king Suite booked for October 15th.

I was a little worried after some of the last posts about how yucky the Radisson was. I almost booked at the Hampton Inn instead.

Thanks for the post, we are getting closer to the Wonder every day!:Pinkbounc

Thanks!!!

We are booked there for next month...

Did you happen to see any signs of ongoing renovations... like carpet being layed, painters, etc...

We will be in a King Suite before our cruise. I can't wait!

I didn't notice any, I was by the pool side of the complex. That place is huge. The Pool looked like it was in some tropical oasis, with waterfalls in it. All the kids seemed to have a marvelous time playing in it.

Thank you for the information.

I have a double room standard for two nights in February.

Thanks for the information. We have a room booked for Dec. and I was a little concerned with all the negative posts. I do have a question - do you HAVE to book the "cruise rate" to get the parking and shuttle? or can I just book a regular rate and still get the shuttle and parking?
Thanks

Although they have specific rates that specifically include the parking, management has indicated that you are welcome to park your car and use the shuttle with any available rate.

Thanks so much for this information. We have stayed there twice and have been watching the ongoing issues regarding this resort. I am glad to hear that the Radisson is keeping up its reputation!!!

That is great to know, thanks!

Looking through some old threads this morning, while searching for something else and came upon this thread. Our family stayed in room 233 on the third floor. It was a 2-bed King Suite, and was very nice and clean, we will be staying at the Radisson again next August. We had a great view of the port, and at 5:15am Saturday morning 8-23-03, I was able to watch the Magic come up the channel from our hotel room window. What a memorable site that was for me!!!

Now back to my searching!!!

Has anyone heard about any promo or secret rates? There was a time last year if you put in the word "Fall" in rate section of the Radisson reservation site, you would get a better room rate.

We just returned from our cruise Sept. 13-sept. 20. We stayed at the Radisson the night before and it was great. We were on the first shuttle over to the port and all went well. You really don't have to book the "cruise" rate, just find the best one that you can.

In my local paper today, there is an ad for the Radisson. It says ask for the "Orlando Rate" to get a standard room for $79. It doesn't have any dates listed. This may be only for Fl residents but it doesn't specify.

We were at the Magic Kingdom today, so I didn't get to read my Sunday paper this morning. I wonder if they have the same offer. I booked the Radisson for 10/17 and got an $85.00 rate.

We just booked our room at the Radisson for next August, hopefully we will get the same side of the Radisson so I can watch the Magic come up the channel again. The curse of being an early riser, LOL!!!

We used the Visit Florida rate for the 2 King Suite room.

We just got back! Stayed at the Radisson Saturday night before our cruise.... I have to say it was great!

We experienced NO problems whatsoever. We had a One King Suite, I believe it was on the third floor of building 2... It was clean, beautiful, and spacious! We enjoyed kicking off our vacation by sitting at the pool area and swimming with DS that afternoon.

The shuttle van service was excellent... Many clean comfortable air-conditioned white Radisson vans with quick and efficient drivers who are eager to load your luggage for you.... We didn't have a noticable wait either to, or back from, the Wonder. We were very happy with our stay there!

kbyers - What time did your shuttle go over to the port? Just curious what time the first shuttle heads out. We have the 10:30 shuttle. Thanks.
