Radio Disney in WDW

Hi Everyone! Is Radio Disney still in MGM? I know they broadcast from several locations...Any information would be great

I asked the same question awhile back and was told that are no longer broadcasting from WDW. Disappointing right?

I know BB Good used to broadcast from Disney
and now she broadcasts from Texas.....
and most of the other DJ's
broadcast from the other coast...
I was hoping that somebody
was still there especially
with HCOE happening....

You know, I thought I remembered, back when it first opened, that Radio Disney was in Animal Kingdom. Though I may be wrong...

They moved Radio Disney from its booth in WDW to its home base in Dallas a year ago this May. TPTB said it was a financial decision. It was very upsetting for all involved; crew, fans, etc. BB had the chance and moved to Dallas to continue broadcasting. The majority of the production staff was already in Dallas, but a few great people still lost their jobs in Florida. We went by the booth for old times sake last week. THey still use the booth for visiting radio station locale visits.

The booth is at MGM right next door to the Drew Carey Sound Stage. If you aren't looking directly to the right as you walk towards Star Tours, you might just miss it. It is kind of set back there.

When it first started they were there, but only for like a week or something. When I heard BB Good says they were at Disney World, I asked on here and someone told me it was temporary. I checked on the radio Disney site and it said it was only for the week that started HCOE.

Where in Dallas is Radio Disney?

How funny! I was so excited this past November to see Radio Disney at MGM. When I got there, bupkis! Nothing! So here I traveled all the way to WDW, with visitng Radio Disney as one of my top things to see and now I find out that it is in my own backyard!

What a hoot!

We live in Grapevine, Texas and see the Radio Disney folks everywhere. They even come to our city swimming pool once a year. (My DDs take turns winning the hula hoop contest.)

There are basically two RDs in Dallas. Most major markets have a local RD, and Dallas is no exception, you can find most local RDs on AM. But also we have the ABC-RD here in Dallas. The Big Momma is located in the Galleria bldgs. I think the local station is there also. They work together sometimes. EVery year, the Big Momma advertises on the local RD for an open casting call. They bring kids out to the Rangers staduim or someplace similar and audition them for voice talent for national air spots.
