Radiator Racers/EMH DCA strategy August

Last time we rode Radiator racers it had just opened, and I understand times have changed.

To minimize wait in line, is it best to head to Radiator Racers first thing? Or do something else first?
Does the fastpass machine open at EMH or at park opening?

We are most interested in doing:
Radiator Racers
Mater's Ride
Toy Story
Soarin


No interest in California Screaming

We also will be doing child swap, and traveling with a 6 year old and an 18 month old. 6 year old might be interested in tower of terror as well.

The FP machines don't open till park opening so, with Toy Story on your list I might head for that first during EMH, then maybe Sorin', off to Maters and then pull FP for RSR before heading to TOT to wait for your fast pass time. That's a strategy I would have used last year in Aug.

Well I went the other day and it was Wednesday at rope drop. I went over to ride RSR around 10AM and the fast passes for RSR were pulling out the 3:45-4:45PM time slot. Park opened at 9AM that day. If that gives you an idea of what time you should grab a FP

I'd do Toy Story first. I'd check to make sure it's running before walking all the way down there. Soarin' can take a long time in the morning; it seems like often only one theater is running.
