I am curious about how long of a wait it would be with a Fast Pass? No fast pass? (The week of Halloween.) Just determining our plan of attack for that ride, the only one that kind of stresses me out for wait times.

Also, can you use your whole FP allotment on one ride throughout the day?

Thank You!!

Get there at rope drop, and you'll be able to get on with a wait of 30 minutes or less. After that, as PP mentioned, the wait can be over an hour. The single-rider line is awesome if you are able/willing to ride alone, and is usually a third of the regular line.

Otherwise, fastpasses are the way to go. Depending on the crowd levels, we have had luck going over just after the park opens and the initial fastpass line is done to get fastpasses for the evening. The ride is extra special at night. In the FP line, we've never waited more than 20 minutes.

I would allow about 15 minutes for FP. The shortest I've ever had was about 5 minutes (when there was no line in the FP queue and I walked right up and handed in my ticket) and the longest was about 25 minutes (that's when the FP line was backed up to under the track area). So I would go with about 15 minutes to be safe.

As long as there are FP available, you can get another FP for the same ride. The caveat is that you can only get the next FP (within each park) two hours after you pulled the first FP or when the time window opens, whichever comes first. So if you pull a FP at 9:00 am with a 10:00 am-11:00 am window, you'll be able to get your next FP at 10:00 am. If the return time was 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, you'd be able to get your next FP at 11:00 am (two hours after you pulled the FP at 9:00 am).

RSR FPs tend to last about 90 minutes after park opening (maybe more or less depending on crowds), so I think you'd need to get one of the first FP of the day (time windows usually start about 45 minutes after park opening) and then get another FP as soon as the time window opens (before riding RSR). I've only gotten two RSR FPs in one day once, but it is possible!

We're doing 1 day hopper, 10/31, starting at DL, break, then DCA at 6:30 b4 crowd kicked out of Halloween Party come over from DL. We know the only way we can do it is at 11:45pm or single rider. Oh well.

We were at DCA on Saturday and Sunday. The Fastpasses were gone by noon on Saturday. At about 1 on Sunday, they were still available for 9:30 p.m. Unfortunately, our flight was later that night. My kids rode with the single rider line... took about 30 minutes.

How does rider-switch work with this ride? I haven't confirmed yet, but I don't think my youngest is 40 inches....so I'd ride with my 2 older girls, then my husband and ride with them again. Do I get a rider-switch pass from the CM before getting on the ride?

Talk to the CMs at the entrance - they will direct you. But yes, you ride with the older 2 then you can switch. At this ride you can't combine single rider and rider switch but you could get 3 fastpasses for the first group then get a switch pass.
