I chose Saxphone beacause it had a lot of buttons on it.

All the buttons on the flute, clarinet, and saxophone made me think NO WAY!

Andd... the trombone had no valves soo I was like.... :\ lol

And now I just recently discovered that there are trumbones with buttons!

I lurve the trombone
Its 10 times funner than the trumpet

I don't like the Trombone. I never really liked the bass side of the force.

I remember how cool it felt out on the MB field when the tuba player stood behind me... wow lol

Mel, I swear, you are one of the most interesting people I've ever "met." Our tuba player was horrible, so he was kicked out, the same with one of our trombone players.

Our tuba players are amazing. One is a sophmore and the other is a senior. The band will never be the same without the seniors.

Oh, but the new tuba freshman isn't so good


I keep telling some people that he shoulda stuck with the saxophone [GOSH, I keep wanting to type saxaphone XD ] and they're all like... 'Melissa... he just started and I can barley hear him!' lol

Now my question is... if you're a woodwind player... why in the world would you want to switch to brass?!

I mean, we actually have to press our lips to go up an octive... woodwinds have that amazing little octive button!

On the clarinet, it's hard to get into the upper register. It took me about 8 months to get it. (Even if it was the lowest note in the upper register.)

I've played a trumpet before, for the heck of it, and it's so much easier. I still can't play higher than an "e"

The octave button is a savior! Praise the lord for the octave button, we call it the rain drop. (on the saxophone it looks like a rain drop )

A lot of my friends play the clarinet. My mom also teaches woodwinds lol.
I've tried playing the clarinet... and... oh gosh... lol.... my ears were about to start bleeding!

and I noticed that the reed thingy is a lot smaller than the saxophone's. When I played my friend's saxophone... i was like 'omg! this is easier than the clarinet!'

Speaking of reeds: random story:

The band room at my school is freezing during our class rehersal time. I'm always shivering. I had my reed in my mouth, while I was putting my clarinet together. All of a sudden, I realized that my reed was bobbing up and down because I was shivering.

I also hate how the clarinet has liek 2948290482304823908 pieces to put together.
