Racist!!!

I am proud to be an American. :teeth:
And very proud of all the Veterans Past, Present, & Future who fight to keep it that way. ::yes::

::MickeyMo "Well hi there everybody!"

Hullo there... I have a solution: we can like and love our surrounding environments, how about that? I love the city I study in - good old Soton! Yet I'm not proud of it - I didn't build it and to me, it seems like the term proud pitts it against other cities... Yeerk!

Oh and you are soooooo right... in London, the most ethnically diverse city in the world, the terms 'whiteboard' and 'blackboard' are now tickets to the police station... gawd! Even the little holy cross the police forces have in their crest is under attack because it may 'offend' some... A.D. and B.C. are also being abolished and changed because it is discriminatory and nativity plays are becoming scarce... oh no :(

I love where I live, I love Florida, I dispise what is becoming of our politicians! Now we either have flippin' war mongerers (weapons of mass
disappearance anyone? not that I am not 100% behind America - I support your gorgeous country, esp now I have visited and know how nice every1 is!) or flowery useless ones (Tony Blair). Could be
worse. Could have snakes in my room

Take it extra easy

The Swedish Chef is proud to make the Hot Doggies!

I'm proud to be 6'4". Does that make me an elitist in my terminology, thus snubbing anyone/everyone shorter than me?

I'm proud to be half Japanese. Does that give you the impression that I'm snubbing anyone who isn't?

I'm proud to have green eyes.

I'm proud to have been raised in a military family.

I'm proud to be gay.

I'm proud of my name.

I'm proud to be half Scottish/Irish.

I'm proud of every aspect of my entire life, from birth, to present. There is nothing in my life that I don't feel proud about.

Does that make me any kind "-----ist"?

See where I'm going? We live in a world where everyone is so afraid of being proud of anything for fear that we might offend anyone who might not be the same. We are so sensitive to everyone else's feelings that we are afraid to feel pride in ourselves. That is absolutely, without a doubt, preposterous.

Politically correct = sensitivity to a large population. That is just plain stupid in my book. Politically correct has evolved into being condescending and insuring that not only does one make sure everyone around feels good about themselves, but also solidifying that one feel really good for doing it.

I'm proud to be an American.

(Stepping off the soapbox now.)

My nationality, of course, is not my race. We have proven that over and over in America where we may be many races but we are all one nationality. And I am very thankful to be an American. Land of the free and home of the brave. Or as I've read lately, Home of the free because of the brave.

I'm proud to be English. Being proud of my nationality doesn't make me intolerent of others - it's the intolerance that breeds racism.

Rich, you must have had just a little smile when England won the Rugby World Cup on Saturday.:D
