Hello all. Planning on doing the wine and dine half marathon this year. I’ve read that registration can be crazy. Is there a best strategy to register? I was hoping I could create an account on the site ahead of time but there doesn’t seem to be a way??

The best strategy is to be online a few minutes before registration opens to get in the queue. The rD account is the same as your MDE account so if you have one of those, you’re all set.

I also suggest following the W&D 2025 thread as folks will post lots of useful information and questions specific to this event there.

The RunDisney site has a link at the very bottom that says Manage Account. You can check there/login with your MDE credentials.

I strongly encourage you to take a look at the thread link below. It is a step by step reference for the entire process, and very thorough.

On the day of registration, the thread for W&D will be hopping, and pages will fly by. But it is your friend, because many board members will share Queues that they no longer need.

I didn’t see that. I’ll check it out!

Follow all the other advice already provided but also round up every computer you have and log into your account separately from all of them. Each wait-queue is a separate instance and one browser may have a 1-hour wait to register, and one may have a 20-minute wait (just as an example).
Be ready to go the second Mickey's big hand is straight up when registration opens. It's the race before the race....

This is what I’ve always done, but it’s been a few years since I’ve had to register. The video Disney has out about how to register emphasizes only doing one. Continue to ignore their recommendation just like with VQs?

They’re emphasizing that bc using multiple devices puts a strain on their system but they’re not doing anything to make it easier for themselves and there’s no penalty so everyone continues to do it. 🤷‍♂️ So yes, ignore the rec.

(what they should be doing is forcing a log-in before entering the queue so multiple devices don’t matter and it reduces the strain on their system)
