Race for the Pirate Throne-- 6/16

Anyone having any luck? I came in 2nd, a feat in and of itself. Somehow I managed to go around the green chair and not on it. Oops. In line again to give it another try.

I know I saw some fellow DISers in the game; if you're wondering why I never ever say "gl" or "good try!" until AFTER I'm eliminated, that'd be because 1 word out of me in events like that and I get disconnected. When I did win the Crow's Nest this week, as soon as I said "gg everyone!" you guessed it!

And internet connection speed. At least I managed to do far better today than yesterday; the game kind of "hung up" during the 2nd round (usually only does that in Fireworks and occasionally Pirates), and every action everyone made, everything everyone said, and my own failed race to the chair was carried out maybe 3 seconds after the fact and all herky-jerky like.

Currently behind 20 people in the queue. ETA: Congrats, shadow! I think you were in the round in front of me, but I'm not positive (I spend so much time worrying about getting disconnected and how to move from chair to chair, I'm lucky if I even know I'm up next to play ).

I won! I won, I won, I won! From someone who fights just to move from chair to chair in normal situations, I guess I'm one lucky duck. I got dc about a minute or two after I left the room (kept trying to pull the map up but it wouldn't work).

Question: my mom just tried to play and sadly she lost (lost on 2nd round). She went to get in line again, but the room is gone from the list. Why if the event is supposed to run until 11:30EST, is it already gone? If they're doing that so they get to finish at exactly 11:30, they ought to say you can't get in line past X time. That's not right, assuming it's not an error.
