Race For Life

Any of you good ladies out there run the Race this year?

Been today with the DW and DS for their run in Heaton Park Manchester. Wonderful day, i also volunteered for the Wigan event. All in the memory of my Sister in Law who died in Februaruy of Cancer of the Lymphoma
Well I have found an event i can do, that is a 10k at Tatton Park Cheshire. I am so looking forward to it.

i am doing the leicester race in two weeks with my dd (7) and my mum (61)
we have raised nearly £300 between us
we race in memory of my aunt and in celebration of my mum who is coming up to 4 years clear of the disease

I did Race for life at Chester Zoo on the 8th June, this was my 2nd year. It was really good fun and all in the aid of a good cause.

I raised £102 in total

I ran the Barnstaple event on June 19th. It was really good fun and I raised £122.58 in total. Definitely taking part again next year!

I did the Race for Life in Glasgow on June 5th in memory of my granda and raised £150.

I was quite moved by the atmosphere and some of the people who had 3 and 4 names on the card for their back.

I'm doing the Southampton Race for Life on Sunday July 17th, I'm doing this with Pete's sister-in-law and we've been spurring each other on and nagging at each other to keep going to the gym which is good, I certainly feel fitter than before I signed up for the race - don't think for one minute I'll be running the whole 5k though!!

I've got sponsored for about £100 so far which I'm thrilled about.

Well done everyone who's already done the Race and good luck to everyone who still has to run.
