Do I have to print boarding passes when I give them my luggage or can I ask them to print my boarding passes at the 24 hour mark and then bring my luggage to check later? Is there anywhere in the parks to print a boarding pass so I don't have to go back to the resort? Will guest services at Pop print them for me or do I have to go to the RAC desk?

Southwest doesn't currently participate with the RAC program and AFAIK they're the only airline in which a 24 hour check in is necessary.

Guest services will print your BP at the 24 hour mark.

I am flying Airtran. So I will have to go back to the resort and get them printed at guest services. I was hoping that I could do it somewhere in the parks. Oh,well.

Guest services in the parks will generally also print BPs.

now i'm more confused than ever. AirTran is a participating airline in the Resort Airline Check-in program. do you want to use RAC or not?

if you use RAC, you check in 3-12 hours before your flight, get your boarding pass and hand over your checked-bags.

Airtran assigns seats when you check in online at the 24 hour mark unless you pay extra for each seat. I want to print my boarding passes at the 24 hour mark so I can get my seats assigned then so my family has a better chance at sitting together but I don't want to turn my luggage in 24 hours in advance.

ok. you couldn't use RAC 24 hours in advance anyway as far as I know. I really don't know how AirTran works with RAC. I know I've heard from many that they've used it and haven't heard complaints about seating. I imagine if you did it 12 hours out, it'd be fine. that's when you have to figure most people staying on site are doing it too.
