RAC hours 5am to 1pm?

Last August we had to be at the bus stop for ME by 4:45 am. RAC wasn't opened yet so we all had to carry our bags to the ME bus and check in at the airport. Since there is a 3 hour min before a flight before using RAC, then I surmise any flights after 4pm have to do there own thing with checking in and such at the airport.

It is such a convience being able to check in and have the bags taken away and getting a boarding pass. Why aren't the RAC times longer? So many people like to get one more day at the parks, since they have paid for the day. Now they can't use RAC..Doesn't seem fair, that 1pm closing is really way too early.

You can still check your luggage with RAC if your flight is at 4:00pm or after. You just have to do it sometimes before 1:00pm but less then 12 hours previous.

Yep - when we have the later in the day flights we take our luggage down as we are getting ready to head out to the park and get it taken care of. The latest flight (to my home) is about 8 PM so it is not a problem to get down there around 8 to take care of the business and then head out for the day.

The 1:00 p.m. closing makes perfect sense. That's well after check-out time. If RAC were open later, why would guests want to wait in the lobby with their luggage? Almost nobody would use RAC after 1:00 p.m., so the RAC employees would be paid to stand there twiddling their thumbs.

Actually, you can use RAC any time between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m for a flight the same day, as long as you complete your RAC check-in 3 or more hours before your flight. There is no longer a 12-hour rule.

True. We always take the last flight out of MCO (usually 6:30pm-8:00pm). We always check our bags at the RAC desk early that morning before leaving for the parks. (Bell services then keeps our carryons.)
