We're from the southwestern corner of the state (about halfway between Pittsburgh and Morgantown, WV). Our favorites are:

Fox Den Campground- New Stanton
Benner's Campground - Farmington
Yogi Bear's - Mill Run
Mountain Pines - Champion (Seven Springs area)

We like to do alot of weekend trips in the summer locally. And, we usually take one or two longer vacations further away from home every year.

My family and I stayed in the South Central part of PA last summer because of an accident we had coming home from TN, we stayed at the Western Village RV park in Carlisle, wasn't to bad they had a pool and so glad as temps were 100 for pretty much the whole time we were there, sites were a little small but the people were very nice and accomodating.

In the fall we usually take a weekend trip to Lancaster County - we've stayed at Roamer's - It's ok, outdated bathrooms and no pool. Very quiet and at night an amish family came thru with a horse-drawn wagon selling their homebaked goods.

This time we're using the certificate for Old Mill Stream right next to Dutch Wonderland and the amusement park is open on the weekends in the fall.

We stayed at Old Mill Stream last summer. We had a site down by the stream. They have an Amish wagon come through on Sat Morning. My daughter and grandkids were with us. It was nice to come back for lunch change and go back to use the water area at DW.
