R&C - IllumiNations question

When I used the online booking system it shows the R&C serves dinner from 3:30 - 8:00. I put in 8:00 pm for each night we were there and it offered up 7:35 pm as the latest for each & every night I entered.

If they really close at 8:00 pm would we still get to utilize the roped off section for IllumiNations? I know they can't expect us to have an ADR for 7:35 and be out by 8:00 pm, but do they stay open until 9:00 for this?

Maybe they stop letting people in at 8 but we dined there last year at 7:30 and stayed for Illuminations! We were lucky enough to get a patio seat! I say, take the 7:35 and cross your fingers for an outside seat!

they take reservations upto 8 but they don't close after 8, they only take a few walk ins if there are any space left to try fill up the place for the fireworks. They will be open until the last person leaves as long as you are sat after 7pm you can watch illuminations in either the roped off section or outside if you are sat outside.

You get a 2 hour dining limit so you will be fine with your reservation
