QUOTES .... usually a no-no!

Using the QUOTE feature is generally a no-no.

Every time a DISigner's image shows up on the forum it reduces their bandwidth and PB only gives away a certain amount free....

The bandwidth is measured monthly and a DISigner can be prevented from posting until the bandwidth is zeroed out the next month. Images will also not be visible on the forum during this lock out period.

This is one reason why DISigners have to delete images from PB, never to be seen again.

It is also totally unnecessary when a requester is having a dialog with a DISigner....back and forth on image requirements.

If you want to say thanks, please do so but do NOT use the quote feature that repeats the display of the image.

I have sometimes seen a thread that goes on page after page because of quotes and it is simply annoying to see the same words/pics again and again and again....with no secondary participant

I have outlawed use of the quote feature on all of my threads....first because of the bandwidth limitations and also because the quotes drive me nuts!

It is simply a matter of courtesy and enabling DISigners to keep providing DISigns to you in a timely manner....and FREE, or course.

Photobucket bandwidth is also taken up based on image size....

exactly why I post thumbnails rather than full image now...

I wanted people to understand that the quotes were affecting my ability to keep my images available....I was locked out for a month TWICE and it was horrible not to be able to help with requests.....
