You know, for a while my family and I found it weird that we memorized this saying and we are totally ignorant to the Spanish language (aside from my sister who has a taken a few classes of it). We never thought it was recognized by other people -- you know it isn't uncommon to hear a translation in Spanish after English -- until we came to the DIS. We laughed at the site of others, also, stressing this particular instance! I loved it!
