quietness of Hard Rock

My family of five are going to Orlando 7-18 through 7-25 and would like to take advantage of the buy 4 stay for 7 nights. We would prefer the Portofino Bay but as luck would have it, our week is the only week the special is not offered. However, it is offered at the Hard Rock. My only concern is being woke up by noise. I read in Kelly's book that this is a very noisy hotel and you may go to sleep and wake up to the sound of a beating bass. Has anybody ever had problems sleeping here because of noise?

I don't find it noisy at all. There is definitely music wherever you go but it certainly isn't obtrusive.

I enjoy the music during the day, just not when I am trying to sleep. Is it on all night long?
Wow! Just reading my own post, I can't believe what an old fuddy duddy I sound like. My kids are laughing at me.

I haven't found that I can hear music from the halls in my room. The pool closes at 10 or 11 so if you go to bed before that, you may hear some music from the pool. The music won't keep you up at night.

I never heard any music, at all, in my room....I had been worried about it being too loud there because one of the people I was going with has sensory issues. It was not a problem at all.

Thanks for the info, but I was able to get my week switched to the week earlier. Now I am able to stay at the PBH. The pay for 4 nights stay for 7 nights sure is a great deal.
