I can see you all shaking your head Quietest days to go to Universal and Islands of Adventure in AUGUST, but I can try

Are they all mad days in August or do certain days seem quieter than others?

I am not sure about August, but when we went in July 2007 it was a MADHOUSE! But if you are staying onsite it doesn't matter how crowded it is. You have the FOTL access and crowds aren't an issue.

Here is what is going to happen going forward on travel dates. After WWoHP opens next year, no one will know for sure right now how the crowds at IoA for the few months after opening will be. But...I can almost guarantee it will be JAMMED...everyday for months so get ready.

After WWoHP opens there will be no more slow days at IoA...it's not a good thought but I think it's going to be a fact soon enough.

That may be true but if it is that just means less crowds for Universal Studios and the other IOA rides. If it were me I would be at IOA before the gate opens, get WWOHP out of the way first, hit he IOA majors while the late arrivers and tour groups are heading over to Harry then go to Universal when the crowd catches up to the rest of the park. Piece of cake.

As for your original question, no. There are no quiet days in August. There are also lots of brief but intense showers so make sure you have ponchos. I know that sooner or later someone is going to suggest express passes but for a party your size it would probably be cheaper to book 1 day at an onsite hotel for the cheapest rate yoiu can find, that way you get 2 days of front of the line plus a place to rest in during the day if it gets too hot or you get soaked on a ride and want to change clothes.
