Are there such things as, Quiet Zones, in the parks with less people moving about and less noise including the decibel of music? If so, where? Sometimes my ears and other senses just need a break. I haven't been to any of the parks for decades so I'm feeling like a newbie.

I don't know if there are any "official" setups anywhere, but I can recommend somewhere in Epcot. The Odyessy building, currently housing Epcot Experience, has three bridges running to it; one is running perpendicular, connecting to the middle of the bridge towards World Showcase. Since this bridge is long and, generally, useless, there isn't a lot of foot traffic, and the music it has carries over from Future World without any dedicated speakers on the bridge so it's noticable but quieter.

It has a cluster of benches towards the center and I've often thought it'd make a nice break spot if I ever felt I needed one.

Go to First Aid or even the Child Care Center and get away from the hustle and bustle there. They are awesome!

Maybe try noise cancelling earbuds? I love them on planes, they cut out a lot of the background engine and people around me noises but I can still hear if the flight attendant or captain comes over the speaker.

Paths around AK especially near the Tree of Life are usually very quiet. AT HS the Muppet area was often less crowded, not sure if that is still true with Galaxy's Edge entrance nearby.

Epcot - there are a few spaces that might have a person or two but aren't too crowded or loud. There is the tile room in Morocco, a little garden to the side of China with benches, a garden near the QS in Japan, a garden the back of UK.

AK - The trail around the Tree of Life is rarely crowded, there are a few other little trails in the park.
HS - this one is hard. Used to be the Streets of American but those don't exist any more. There are usually people in there but One Man's Dream isn't loud. Not many people go back near the Raiders of the Lost Ark show.

MK - another hard one. Maybe ride the Liberty Bell?

It'll depend on how busy the park is, of course, but if they'll let you in without an order (or you're willing to pay for a drink), the top floor of Columbia Harbor House is pretty relaxing, for Magic Kingdom.

Depending on how busy it is, what kind of park day you want to do, and how much time you have, it might be worth hopping over to the nearby resorts. For example, there are lots of quiet places outside around the grounds of the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian if you just want to sit on the bench and decompress. If the weather isn't great, the lobbies at each of the hotels are generally pretty quiet during the day and you can also walk around and window shop. The Contemporary has its convention floor (2 or 3 I think) between the main lobby and the concourse where all the restaurants and shops are, and if there isn't a convention it's usually really quiet with lots of seating.

At Epcot the Beach Club is right next door and a really easy walk. It has lots of seating on the beach which is really nice. Hollywood Studios isn't really super close to anything, but you can walk or talk the boat over to the Boardwalk and the other Epcot area resorts or the Skyliner over to the other connected hotels. Animal Kingdom isn't walking distance from anything, but it's a quick bus ride away from the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which also has a fairly quiet lobby, plus the outdoor deck where you can look at animals. If I remember correctly there are even some chairs you can sit on and watch the animals go by.

I was thinking of Epcot as well.
- Canada area near the waterfall
- back side of UK where they used to have live music
- international gateway

MK
- Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, not sure how busy it is
- TTA
- walkway between haunted mansion and fantasyland, near tangled bathrooms

I'd also recommend taking the skyliner. We did that a few times when we need to just have some peace and quiet.

We are not smokers, so I never knew where the old smoking sections were but I think we stumbled upon one in MK in April and it was secluded and only a handful of people there. In Tomorrowland, between SM (on your left) and the bathrooms on the right (way across from Buzz), down a few steps is a large area with benches.

Maybe if you can find any old maps, you might be able to find the areas in all the parks.

One of our favourites as a rest from the parks is to take the raft to Tom Sawyer island and sit in the rocking chairs under the gazebo.

Another quiet place in MK is over by Barnstormer where the little kids water area is. There are some good places to sit over there, and almost no one goes over there - especially right now since the train stop is closed. But even when it was open, that area was still very quiet.

Depending if it's roped off, Tomorrowland Terrace is quiet (but often they rope it off now).
