Quiet times/places open 24 hours?

This may sound silly, but... one of my favorite things to do when on vacation in a new resort area is to be awake between 3am-7am and just wander, whether it's to a bar, restaurant, or the local area. I'm a big fan of super-quiet early morning time. Given that, are there places (bars/clubs/restaurants) on the Dream that are open 24 hours? Or if I'm up, will it just be me and empty hallways?

I love doing that too! Unfortunately, nothing is open past 2 am (aside from room service) on the Disney ships. You will, however, be able to wander about the public areas (not the dining rooms/teen clubs). The bars will close their doors, but you can still go in and look around.

I will add that the beverage station on deck 11 is open 24 hours and the Dream now has Satellite Falls on deck 12 forward. I love getting coffee around 5:00 AM and drinking it in peace at SF. Also if you head to deck 4 and sit on the lounge chairs watching the ocean sail by it's a very tranquil time and you may even have joggers strolling by at times. I can also add this is a great time to get amazing pics of the ship without a bunch of people in them.

On one of my earlier cruises, I woke up about 3am and thought I'd take a book and find a place to read for a bit. The public areas, except for maintenance crews and one person at GS, was completely empty. Finding a quiet place to read was not a problem, but I wasn't going to be getting a drink from a bar or a snack from the pool deck. A ship's officer stopped by to ask if everything was OK and I assured him I just wanted to read but didn't want to disturb DW, a light sleeper, by doing so in the room.

Agreed, it is very empty. One cruise on the Magic I was jet lagged since we were living in China at the time and had gone to CA for a cruise. It was up Early, about 3AM. I walked the ship a bit and it was interesting, but honestly a bit creepy, especially out on deck. I felt like someone could throw me overboard and no one would ever know. (Not likely, but that was the feeling...) I seem to remember coffee being available around 5:30 or 6, but not before, as we were up every day by then.
Inside you could see how the ships stayed so clean. I especially remember seeing them cleaning the elevator floors and doors. The few CMs about were always startled to see me too :magnify: I think most of the restaurants and lounges were closed and locked. If I did it again, I would find a seat in the lobby and stay there to enjoy the peace and beauty but to also not feel so alone. (Can you tell I am a woman? Men may not feel this way at all.)

So many nice areas that are just part of the "hallways"! Lots of little places to sit and relax comfortably. Earliest I was up and out was around 7:30 with my daughter but even then it was so quiet in the halls. We were on deck 5 on the Fantasy and there's usually a lot going on in the atrium area but at that time it was just someone doing the cleaning you don't really think about but is clearly done often. We also got to peek inside the lifeboats through windows, apparently they open them up during the night? Enjoy the quiet and exploring time!

Doesn't sound silly at all. When the weather is warm, one of my favorite things is going for an early morning swim. I float in the middle of the pool by myself. Not a soul in sight. It's so peaceful, I just love it. Great way to start the day.

DH says the drink station area is very nice and quiet that early in the morning. There is coffee and tea available there.
