I know I've seen a list of those on these boards somewhere that was pretty detailed but that was a couple years ago or longer.

Can anyone send me that list or can we make up a new one soon?

Looking for quiet spots for DH and I to have a few quiet moments in the parks.

if you can walk up a hill - then the rose garden near the castle.

It is between tomorrowland/fantasyland (kindna of).

there are benches all around the park.

In Norway and France the tables you can eat at after you order from their snack bars.

the benches facing the lake at world showcase in Epcot. (Norway, Italy, GB)

the benches in the connection zones at Epcot - Inovactions.

the gardens in Japan.

but remember this is WDW - there is probably a camera somewhere.

so don't do anything you won't want strangers to see!

Without trying to sound sarcastic, I found that the designated smoking areas can be off the beaten path and very quiet. When I wait for my DH to finish his cancer stick, I sit in the area and absorb the moment.

If you want air conditioned spots-there's a little museum type place in the back of the Japan pavillion to sit, also in Morocco (not sure about sitting there), and, I think, China; in MK, couldn't you just tiptoe upstairs in CHH even if you're not buying food? In the AK, there are lots of lovely, quiet benches along the Discovery Island trails, granted not air conditioned though; also in AK, but not air conditioned, there are some nice, quiet tables in Africa, to the right of the rest rooms, inside a courtyard.

not quiet or secluded - but air conditioned.

there are several rides with benches for the people who aren't riding to wait at the end of the rides.

just ask the CM at each ride - where the benches are - they will direct you to them.

there is also a nurse station at each park.

MK - near the City hall
Epcot - between FW (test track) and WS (mexico) -it is next to the restuarant that has been closed a couple of years.

I personally like the garden with the gazebo and mini-hedge maze behind the shops in the UK pavillion at Epcot. It's usually really quiet and relaxing back there.

On Main Street in MK, cul de sac to the right just before the bakery, DW and I buy coffee and bun at the bakery in the morning and sit at the tables at end of cul de sac. Rather quiet and secluded.

There's a lovely little spot in Epcot - I think it's actually a butterfly garden, just past the gift shop for Test Track. Anyone know where I'm talking about? It was bright and sunny when I was there, but in cooler weather it should be ideal.

Where exactly is the rose garden by the castle?

I am thinking and thinking and can't remember where you would walk up a hill?

to the right of castle (with your back on main street) - if you go the long walk to tomorrowland - about half way down the path on your left - is a path that goes down into the rose garden.

sometimes this is closed off - you can pay for privacy here it you want too. I won't because of the price. but as I say you need to go up the hill to get out. So lots of visitors don't even try to go in this place.

you do enough walking at MK without adding to it.

I remember this past early December the rose garden in MK was open and I didn't have to pay for it. I don't know if you have to pay for it now. It is a very nice spot, with a wrought iron pavillion. I think it is a smoking spot, but there was only two people there at a time. It gave me good peace and quiet to use my cell phone.

there is a small park like area to the left as you enter liberty square (over a little bridge) to the very left of the castle ( between the castle and adventure land but back by Liberty sq)

Until British Invasion starts playing. ;) But when British Invasion isn't
scheduled to play, I agree that it's a nice, quiet spot to relax.

As far as I knew, I thought they only close the rose garden if Disney's Fairy
Tale Weddings booked a special engagement "pop the question" moment
during the fireworks or other times of day.

I think you can book it directly.

once there was a corporate party going on - that has been while - that is when I first noticed it - they were LOUD.

yes most of the time - when it is closed - someone is proposing or getting married. but there are parties there too.

Spicey cat I'd much rather be caught on cam by ppl I didn't know than ppl I do know;)

at mk tom sawyer island, the rose garden at the castle & ariels grotto at night. at mgm the backlot new york area, garden area near hollywood & vine.
at ak conservation station kiosks & the train ride there is relaxing. at epcot there is the fez museum area & seating near marrakesh at morocco, the exhibit in japan is normally quiet, french island plant seating & uk terrace benches on the water before the rose&crown pub & garden area in the back of the shops at uk.

in adventureland just before the dole whip outlet there are some tables undercover, great for a rest and eating aforementioned snack!
:cool1:
