Looking at staying at Hojos from all the reviews here... any suggestions on what rooms to request?? I was hoping for a quiet room. BUT wondering if I should get one facing Disney. Could I get the best of both? Quiet and facing with a chance to view the fireworks from our room??? THANKS

We stayed in Building 1 facing Disneyland and never found the noise to be a problem. In fact, the loudest thing is the fireworks! But we just stood out on the balcony of our room and watched them! I think the rooms facing Disneyland are great, and I think the other side faces the freeway and may be noisier. But I don't have any first hand experience with those rooms.

It was hot when we were there, so we had the A/C running most of the time. Not sure if that helped to block the noise.

Have fun!

I have not stayed in the Disney facing rooms or a room in one of the two-story buildings. We usually choose building two facing the pool or building 1 kid suite.

Between those 2, building 2 is definitely quietest. I usually request a room closer to the parking lot side of that building so I don't have to hear even a hint of freeway noise. The most noise we have noticed in building 2 was from some rowdy kids at the pool one night when we had a first floor room. The noise didn't go on too long or late though, and it wasn't anything worth complaining about.

Building one freeway side can seem noisy. I was surprised though that it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would, and I find it totally worth it if we're going to get the suite. I wouldn't bother with freeway side otherwise though. I would imagine that non-freeway side of building 1 (Disney facing) would be ok if you were in one of the middle rooms rather an an end room.

I stayed in bldg 5 - one of the middle buildings with double beds - in the corner room, 1st floor that is closest to the freeway. I found the freeway noise very loud (the rest of the family doesn't notice/care about it).

We usually do Premium Rooms, which are in Building 1, facing the park, and have an awesome view of the fireworks. Had no noise issues. Although my friend stayed in a corner Premium Room and said she could hear the freeway all night.
