I was wondering where there are good spots to relax in the MK? Any place one might be able to get a power nap in? Planning a long day at the MK and didn't want to go all the way back to POFQ for a rest. Any really good out of the way places come to mind?

The Hall of Presidents, lol. The very back corner between adventure land and frontier land, or the rose garden near tomorrow land. But the presidents is still my first choice, the air conditioner works real good in there.

Yes, on main street I believe it is the place you wait to preview the photo they take as you enter the park...if you walk towards the back there was a nice seating area showing (very quietly, if not silent) old mickey mouse movies. It was dim lighting, not dark, with comfy seats. Most were either cat napping, older folks tired of walking, or others sitting with a resting infant. It is not a show per se, just a running thing and people can come and go. It was a good find!

I just verified...it is called Exposition Hall. There is a small cinema in the rear as described, also noted there are photo opps as you walk back --including one of the cars from Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!

There is a path from Space mountain to toon town that is very lightly traveled, good for a quiet stroll!

It is amazing how few people travel this path.

If you are a memeber of AAA there is a lounge area somewhere at MK where you can get a drink (non-alc, of course). I am a member but I never went there. I would bet you can curl up in a corner there.

There is a small, quiet area behind the Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Corner that is nice to relax. This is one of my favorite escapes within MK. It is usually quiet except when the show is going on in front of the Castle. It is one of my favorite places to escape the hordes and sit quietly in the shade. Last time we were there, my family and I had a nice chat with Pocahontas. We were all by ourselves for several minutes.

I would also 2nd the Exposition Hall. Great place to bring a sleeping baby in a stroller.

In the Main Steeet Train Station. Even though it is under construction, there are plenty of benches or stand and look down over Main Street. There is also a 10 cent game my kids loved playing there.
The CM at Poly told me when she is tired and in the parks she likes to go to COP and Small World for some shut eye. (She must to sleep to music!)

I love to go to Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland and sit on the terrace. If it is after the lunch crowd, it is very pleasant, with a great view. I love to just sit there under the shade, watching the ducks float by next to the waterfall, while glancing over at the Castle, over towards Main Street and to the left, Tomorrowland. I find it to be very peaceful. :flower:

I love to rest in the Rocking Chairs on the small porch around the right side of HOP there are also a few benches hidden back there. In the small garden where Belle does here story hour between shows is also good.

My DH and I love relaxing on the TTA. It is so comfy and relaxing...you can also stay on it a long as you like too, just don 't get off - the CM's wll let you stay on. The views and the breezes and being able to put your feet up makes it very relaxing!

I also agree with the HOP...comfy seats with air conditioning :flower:

They all sound like good places. I hope we can get enough rest to survive the MVMCP that night. I just want to stay all day and have the energy for the night. I know many people say to get a break in but I know my girls will be roaring to keep going all day. My concern is if we don't get any down time it will ruin the party. Thanks everyone for taking your time to help.

We have never ridden the TTA. How long is it?

Ive got to say that I agree with the posters about The Hall of Presidents. Im married a lovely american man, however I am Canadian and he made me go see it. Ive got to say that it was one of the best naps I have ever had. The seats are very comfy, its dark and well for me I had no idea what was going on. No flames really. Im sure if there was a Hall of Prime Ministers I would be sleeping through that as well.

I love the HOP, and I think the anamationics are great, but I cannot for the life of me stay awake through the whole thing! COP is great for napping too, because you don't have to move and it's darkened. Exposition Hall is good if it's not too busy (and I've never seen it busy), or find some grass near the castle (to the right as you're walking toward it down Main Street as I remember). Maybe on Tom Sawyer Island?
